Laminated Animals likes to think of himself as a professional saxophone player even though he doesn't play very much saxophone lately. He just moved to Cambridge from Hong Kong, and is one half of Windowsill & Ashtray, formerly the most obnoxious folk duo in Asia, and now the third or fourth most obnoxious folk duo in Cambridge. Will you be his neighbor?

Named Editor's Choice for Best Local Band of 2016 from City Weekend, The Spice Cabinet, led by frontman keyboardist Terry Hsieh, is the instrumental jazz machine that slices, dices every pop number into the frenzy of a pop modern dance beat of wonder. It's pop according to jazz, sprinkled with funk, hip-hop, bebop and rock.

Mike Sim is a Boston based multi-media artist that uses video and music - musically falling somewhere between folk, hip-hop, & electronic music and visually creating a kaleidoscopic mix from manipulated home videos & found footage.  The self-recorded, self-released debut “Kaleidoscope EP”, was released in 2012.  Since then he has continued to consistently self-release audio and visual albums and perform around the New England area as well as other areas in the US.

Windowsill and Ashtray were previously the most obnoxious folk duo in Hong Kong, and are now the fifth or sixth most obnoxious folk duo in Cambridge, MA. They have recently played shows in cities throughout China including Beijing, Shenzhen and Xiamen, and released their debut album in August 2018. They write songs about scientists and monsters and children raised by zebras.

As a group of young, up-and-coming musicians, the Terry Hsieh Collective strives to compose and play all original music with one purpose: To move the audience. Whether it’s a blues, or am original composition in 13/8, THC strives to play music that pleases both and mind and soul. Their music has been described as “powerhouse”, “organic” and “emotionally pure”.

Expect the unexpected: a group of a musicians with a penchant for pop, love of the blues, multicultural dynamicism, and a jazz music background and mindset.
