Techno is colourful.

We are LAPS Recordings, a young, growing Techno label from Germany! The name "LAPS" is an acronym containing the initials of our four founding members. At the same time, it highlights the concept of time, which is a theme all our productions revolve around. 

Coming from very different musical backgrounds, the core substance of our label sound revolves around dark, energetic and emotional melodies, forceful kickdrums and driving basslines. Those main topics reappear in all of our productions, but so do the individual tastes of all founding members. 

Over time, our sound has evolved across four main genres: Melodic Techno, Peak-Time / Driving / Acid Techno, Raw / Groovy / Hypnotic “Classic” Techno, and Breaks / Experimental / Hard Techno – yet we love to break boundaries between these styles. Our main focus is always on the artists and their music. 

LAPS Recordings is, first and foremost, a label by DJs for DJs – built around the club scene rather than trends or algorithms. We believe in quality, authenticity and timeless techno that speaks for itself.
