Continuing this year with two new artists joining the LAPS family: Trip Advisor and Noah Shah. Trip Advisor began his DJ career in 2018, emerging from the rave scene around Hannover. Over time, he has developed a unique style that fuses Melodic Techno with Peak-Time elements. His talent for storytelling through harmonic progressions and driving beats is unmistakable. With “Anomaly,” he delivers an atmospheric, energetic, and deeply immersive track. Noah Shah, a DJ and producer from southern Germany, specializes in Melodic, Afro, and Peak-Time Techno. Following in his father’s footsteps, he debuted on Magic Island Deep in 2017, where he now serves as A&R. Over the years, he has gained recognition through platforms like Sunshine Radio’s Mixmission, Brillux Beats, and A State of Trance (ASOT). Noah’s remix of “Anomaly” offers a slower, more emotional and progressive take, leaning into Afro-House influences. The result is a creative reinterpretation that complements the energy of the original. Two distinct versions of “Anomaly,” both captivating and beautiful in their own way, showcasing the diverse talents of these rising artists.

Techno is colourful.

We are LAPS Recordings, a young, growing Techno Label from Germany! The name "LAPS" is an acronym containing the initials of our 4 founding members. At the same time it highlights the concept of time, which is a topic all our productions will revolve around! 

Coming from very different musical backgrounds, the core substance of our label sound revolves around dark, energetic and emotional melodies, forceful kickdrums and driving basslines. Those main topics reappear in all of our productions, but so do the individual tastes of all founding members.

Ekko is a DJ and producer from southern Germany who captivates audiences with his unique, melodic, driving, and highly danceable sound. As the founder of the underground label LAPS Recordings, Ekko blends pounding techno beats with trance-infused basslines, emotional synths, and dark, melancholic atmospheres. His style spans Melodic Techno, Peaktime, Hardtechno, Trance, and Hardtrance – always powerful, always distinctive.

Born in 1997 near Ulm, Ekko was hitting drums before he could even walk. At just four years old, he stood in front of an audience for the first time, and music has played a central role in his life ever since. Besides drums, he taught himself multiple instruments and even produced a small album using a DAW at the age of 12.

After discovering electronic music, it quickly became clear that he wanted to be behind the decks. In 2017, he played his first DJ set on a local radio show – together with the crew members who would later co-found the club Gleis 44 in Ulm with him. Ekko remains a resident DJ there to this day and played a key role in the founding of Kollektiv Schillerstraße, Gleis 44’s official resident DJ crew.

During the first COVID lockdown in 2020, Ekko began producing his own tracks. His productions are defined by heavy kick drums, trance-inspired basslines, 303 acid elements, and signature melancholic melodies. Whether in the studio or on stage, he always manages to retain a unique character that sets him apart from other peaktime techno artists.

In 2021, Ekko also launched the duo project Mind Chemistry together with Hans Pech. The two met at Gleis 44 in 2020, where they’ve been playing together regularly ever since. After their first B2B set, it was instantly clear: the synergy was undeniable. With a musical range from Melodic Techno to Peaktime, Hardtechno, and Trance, Mind Chemistry delivers an intense ride through emotion and energy – sometimes dark, sometimes euphoric, but always on point.

In 2022, they co-founded the label LAPS Recordings alongside two fellow artists and soon released their first collaborative EP. After receiving great feedback and playing successful shows across Germany, they officially launched the duo, continuing to build a strong reputation with their dynamic and genre-blending sound.

Started with DJ‘ing in 2018 finding the way of life with it. With the first Gig in the hometown, Trip Advisor discovered, how powerful the meaning of music, frequencies and the energy that comes along with the passion can be.
Right after that he started to produce music, trying to impart the message of structures and feelings deep inside.
With a punching low end and melodic groove Trip Advisor combines the classical driving Techno genre with harmonic and emotional stories.
