Based on the beloved traditional Huron-Wendat song, Jesous Ahatonhia - also known as the Huron Carol- this piece dates back to 1683 and is one of the earliest accounts of the Wendat language at first contact. Honoring her Wendat roots through the use of a water drum, horn rattle, and symphonic strings, Geneviève tells the story of the music through this fresh variation of a beloved classic.
