Original composition! I used a MIDI keyboard to play a text-to-speech with random syllables, then processed it through neural synthesis, layering over the separately-processed General MIDI backing track.

Yesterday I figured out how to make Riffusion sing on purpose and consistently, by using a free text-to-speech VST plugin, AlterEgo, as the guiding outline for the model to do its work. The same "realism enhancing" effect Riffusion has on chiptunes can be used on regular MIDI files or even text-to-speech voice. 

That is, we can now make vocaloid-type synthetic singers sound more "alive" in artistically interesting ways.

I have had The Girl From Ipanema stuck in my head for the past week and I thought making this would cure me. It did not. (but I still had fun making the song and cover art)

All the samples are largely unedited, so this could feasibly be played by K. K. Slider in the actual games...if he had a loop pedal lol (though I think there are parts that would be tough to pull off live. I'll leave that judgement up to the actual guitarists out there!)
