I recorded this under some trees about 200 meters from the surf. I like the distant sound of the surf as it rises and falls as a background to the bird song.

I put these mics underneath some broad-leafed plants so you can hear the rain drops striking the leaves, as well as the wet ground and standing water in places below sometimes.  The birds, insects, amphibians, and ??? are active and becoming more vocal, this was the aftermath of a thunderstorm in Ecuador.

While writing my first experimental firmware for the Music Thing Modular Workshop System... I was working on mapping a knob to a constant voltage... and wasn't sure if I was sending data to the DAC in the right order. I was testing by controlling pitch with the output... when I swapped the data, small differences in analog reads from the knob, instead turned into this. Which *kinda* sounds like "digital rain" if you squint with your ears.

The Black Woodpecker has spring feelings and this droprig recording captured his drumming, announcing that this territory is his. Lots of other calls interspersed among the drumming.

A very active night in the red fox forest. Probably close to their mating season now since both the male and female ran around calling over large tracts. Here you can mostly hear the male. In the background tawny owl.
