I understand like Dre and Ice cube DONT sing.  they never have lol. the hooks they have done in their careers is more like rap hooks than song hooks. im just trying different ideas here. also as an outsider of the culture there is certainly things i cannot cross i cant start using the n word or start saying blood this crip that, thats just something i dont think i will do even if its just writing songs.  just gonna leave that alone and the authenticity of it to those who bout it.

writing ideas/hooks with an artist in mind is always fun. eminem along with dr.dre and tupac are like my greatest case study. i originally had it saying "hailey" instead of baby but i realized it was just too specific, you want people to sing the hook, and those people may not know someone named hailey, so replacing that with baby its much more relatable because it reaches a broader audience, having a specific name there just boxes the song in. in my opinion anyway.

and again this is just a song idea, pulled inspirations from his MMLP/the eminem show/8 mile days,  i tried to mimic how he sang the hook on mockingbird,cleaning out my closet,and haileys song.

I was writing this song for someone. but they ended up not using it. haha if you listen to the song you will understand why.  The artist  I was writing for is like a grown adult. this song is straight outtta the 2010's justin bieber, ariana grande era.  its like a highschool love story cliche type of song.  obviously it didn't fit the artist i was writing for. trials and tribulations haha i write to the beat and whatever comes comes but i feel like i need to be mindful of WHO im writing for as well. just a lesson i learned.
