Death Drive - the feeling of intense malaise, of wanting everything to just stop, that often accompanies depression. The idea is that the mind has a drive towards a state of "ending" when it feels stuck, or unable to change its environment. This is NOT the same as suicidal ideation, to be clear.

Like my last piece, this song might not appear sad or depressing to you, though that was the energy I was trying to instill in it; I haven't yet been able to stave off my artistic sensibilities (brighter sounds, pops, glitches, bebop-like improv etc.) in the pursuit of the directed expression of a single idea, but that's art for you!
