TWINZ è il terzo e nuovo album dei MELLOW MOOD, in uscita su iTunes e in tutti gli store digitali il 3 giugno per La Tempesta International e distribuito nei negozi in Italia da Master Music.

I MELLOW MOOD sono tornati dopo aver girato l’Europa per quasi tre anni, un tour intensissimo che ha portato la band friulana a calcare i palchi dei maggiori festival del Vecchio Continente e ad essere riconosciuta come una delle più autorevoli realtà della Reggae Music mondiale. TWINZ è il disco che consacra i MELLOW MOOD, trascinati dal songwriting e dal talento dei gemelli Jacopo e L.O. Garzia, co-autori di tutte le tracce dell’album e sostenuti da una band che si dimostra sempre più consapevole dei propri mezzi. Dodici brani scritti a arrangiati dopo un viaggio a Kingston, nato dal bisogno di scoprire le radici del Reggae e con il desiderio di avvicinarsi allo spirito originario delle sonorità giamaicane. 

TWINZ si muove alla riscoperta del Roots più autentico grazie alle foundations ritmiche di Jules I e Fred Sieve, una vibra classica e ritmi One Drop contaminati da sonorità Dub e un cantato che a tratti si avvicina sempre più al Dj Style. Una forte volontà di sperimentare che dimostra come i MELLOW MOOD abbiano ormai gli strumenti e il talento per rendere originali e vive tutte le influenze dell’emisfero Reggae, traendone un suono riconoscibile e nuovo che testimonia la crescita artistica dei cinque musicisti. I testi, tutti interamente cantati con grande padronanza del patois, raccontano dell’amore universale, dell’importanza imprescindibile della solidarietà umana, del sentimento sconfinato che riesce a unire i popoli e le genti grazie alla musica, creando un ponte ideale fra due realtà così diverse come Pordenone e Kingston.

TWINZ è stato prodotto dall’esperto Paolo Baldini che è riuscito a dare un respiro internazionale a tutto il progetto, anche grazie alle numerose e important collaborazioni: l’energia della superstar portoghese Richie Cambell, la carica latina della nuova leva del dub spagnolo Sr. Wilson, i fiati del leggendario sassofonista giamaicano Dean Fraser, gli arrangiamenti in “Closed Doors” di Fitzroy ‘Dave Prime Time’ Green (batterista della Shengen Clan Band che accompagna Alborosie), le voci degli italianissimi KG Man e Forelock (singer della reggae band sarda Arawak).
