Tulane University's Stone Center for Latin American Studies is designated as a National Resource Center by the U.S. Department of Education.  Our program is today comprehensive with faculty in almost every region and discipline essential to understanding Latin America. The Mississippi-Gulf-Caribbean region is the epicenter of cultural and historical converging and radiating flows of a vast cultural and geographic network embracing Europe, Africa, the Pacific Rim, and North and South America. Today, Tulane University has active programs in African and African Diaspora Studies, the Atlantic World, Comparative Southern Studies, and Cuban, Brazilian, and Francophone Caribbean Studies.  The Center also coordinates an outreach program that reaches diverse constituents.

The Project is the joint musical endeavor of Michael Glen Bell and Duane W.H. Arnold. Their first album, Martyrs Prayers, was released to great critical acclaim and utilized the gifts of guest artists such as Phil Keaggy, Randy Stonehill, Glenn Kaiser, The McCrary Sisters and numerous others. A single from the album, “Romero”, became the unofficial anthem for the beatification of Archbishop Oscar Romero in 2015.  Their current album,  Mystic Chapel, was released in December 2015.
