Charles Andre aka Charles Fenckler is a young French producer and the latest in new talent to join the Soma roster. Passionate about electronic music from a young age, he has matured into a full fledged producer composing an interesting style of Techno gliding between deep and melodic dub infused Techno, integrating influences stretching between Detroit & Berlin drawing inspiration from icons as Juan Atkins, Derrick May and Shed. With such musical knowledge for someone so young, Charles Fenckler invites you to travel into his universe, filled with deep and powerful Techno.

Anklam comes straight out the block with a fast paced drum structure reminiscent of early Shed productions. The whole track is given a real Detroit feel with a perfectly designed synth stab that filters in an out perfectly as stylized 909 percussion gives this the drive of a top end modern techno production.

Block keeps the pace of the EP going as once again, Fenckler delivers a deep driving Techno track, designed for the floor. Energetic, synths with subtle delays are allowed to work this track while simple and effective percussion drop in and out making this a real groover with a late 90’s feel to it.

Fenckler ends the EP of a suitably deep note with Fabric. His rhythms are tight and another perfectly balanced synth hook keeps this track firmly rooted at the deeper end of Techno. Most certainly thought out with the dance floor in mind once again this could easily work its way into peak time or end of the night takedowns.

Fenckler shows that simplicity is the key with Techno and does so with great ease. A fantastic knowledge of rhythm and shows he is definitely one to watch in the future.

Etruria Beat is pleased to present the first EP of the talented duo from Modena Toms Due. Already appeared with the track "Part Of It" and more recently with the remix of Bastinov - Ellipse which has been played everywhere around the globe, today they offer two original tracks with a defined and aggressive sound plus two huge remixes from Etruria’s family.. Get ready to blow up some dance floors!

The EP opens with the remix of the label-boss Luca Agnelli, who brings a very techno track, full Robert Hood style, with a distorted kick and a Detroit chord that makes the rhythm obsessive and powerful. 

The second track is the original "Fly over", built around the melody and a solar chord hooked to a powerful 909 groove . It will be a nice breath of fresh air for the darkest consoles. 

The B1 is the track from which the EP take his name, "The Bridge", is nothing but search for the essential. Very few sounds that will make the atmosphere dark, an incredibly present kick and some 909 distorted hi-hats that ensures a breathless pace, until the last second. 

Finally, the "House" reinterpretation from the foot of Mount Vesuvius of the talent Dast,  who comes up with his version , influenced by a synth full of atmosphere but time-pressing at the same time.. Get your smiles ready, package is served!

Mark Broom’s had an incredible year so far with releases on the likes of Rekids, Edit Select, Frame Of Mind and Snatch, as well as remixes of Floorplan (EPMmusic), Mighty Mouse (Glitterbox) and Kristin Velvet (Knee Deep In Sound) amongst others. There’s even more in the pipeline with tracks coming to Hardgroove, the next Cocoon compilation and a follow up to ‘Break 97’ for Rekids, plus remixes for Mute, Sunday Best and more.

In the meantime his own label has been in capable hands with releases from Belgium’s Absent and Japan’s Raiki. But now after a hiatus of 18 months, Broom returns to his Beard Man stamp this September for ‘Voice EP’ which consists of two new bulletproof originals - the warehouse style techno of the title track, alongside the percussive funk groover ‘Mangle’, which are both destined for heavy rotation.

New York’s Avision is no stranger to the label having released two full length EPs, ‘Freak Zone’ (BMD019) in 2016 and ‘Excess’ (BMD026) in 2017. Since then he’s gone on to release on the likes of Ben Sims’ Hardgroove, Alan Fitzpatrick’s We Are The Brave and Coyu’s Suara. Here, he not only delivers a seriously punchy remix of ‘Voice’ but also the deep and wonky, NYC Dub Remix.

Completing the EP is a hypnotic reworking of ‘M19’ (that first appeared on Mark Broom’s 2015 EP, ‘Neon’) by resident DJ and promoter of Manchester’s Good Gatherings, Josh Reeves.
