Lay-Far's critically acclaimed debut album “So Many Ways” which took him worldwide gets a friendly treatment from the global music family! In the first (out of 3) installment of the remix series we have artistic versions from Atjazz, Inkswel, Jonny Miller and Thatmanmonkz! 

The legendary producer Martin Iveson aka Atjazz who needs no further introduction kicks off the EP with a masterpiece of a remix for one of the highlights of the album – electronic ballad “Stand Up” featuring Pete Simpson. When the strings come in you realize - it's Atjazz at his best – conscious boogie for the soul! We believe it may easily become future classics!

Next we have a sound bomb from the Australian bad boy and one of the most hard-working producers in the scene now – Inkswel. His version of “When I’m Seeing You” featuring the trumpet player Vicky Flint is soaked in the warm sound of distorted drum machines and tape delays. Be warned – this heavy-hitter can actually damage your speakers! 

The B-side opens with the deep and sophisticated afro house of Jonny Miller! 
His remix of “Summer Vacation” featuring the beautiful voice of Yannah Valdevit immediately teleports you to the open air party in the Adriatic Sea coast. Barbarellas Discotheque vibes!

Last but not the least, we have Sheffield’s own Thatmanmonkz revisiting a track with another “that” in its name - “That Dream”. Inspired heavily by classic blaxploitation movies like “Super Fly” or “Coffey” Shadeleaf Music label boss comes up with a dynamic soundtrack for the imaginary chase scene. Badass!

Legend has it that a science lab was conducting experiments to create Digital Ivan, a controllable and perfect sex machine. But they fail because the robot, learning its abilities, goes beyond the limits of the experiment. The machine begins to manifest its own feelings and desires, deviating from its program. The powers and feelings of Digital Ivan turn out to be much more than scientists had anticipated. What else will he dare and how far will he go?

Rodeo At Simach is the first single from the upcoming concept album “Sexualizer” by Digital Ivan. It's a dynamic house banger created in the walls of Simach club that reveals the story of how Digital Ivan finds himself in the epicenter of Moscow's sexual life. Rodeo at Simach can't be stopped, because the whole space is permeated with arousal and passion. And there are only two ways to give an outlet to this energy, the second of which is music.

Digital Ivan is the alter ego of Ivan Denisov, an electronic producer from Moscow, resident of the Powerhouse club and Applique team, noted for his vinyl releases on Berlin's Toy Tonics, Austria's Pusic Records and America's Nervous, remixes of ELLA, DRIADA, LAVBLAST, and performances at the Signal festival. Introducing Kon‘s forthcoming compilation album ‘Kon & The Gang‘, we are delighted to present this 12″ sampler featuring two incredible cuts taken from the LP, as well as an exclusive remix from Kon

Opening track ‘Timeless’ could hardly be more aptly named. Sublime, smokey piano touches on the intro give way to an uplifting, languid disco track, jammed full of sunshine. Catchy vocal snippets, rock solid bass and guitar licks build up the groove beautifully alongside Kon‘s trademark staccato, squelchy synth chord stabs. On the flip-side Kon presents a remix of his own track ‘Timeless’. Highlighting piano loops and synth stabs from the original version, his rework moves the track seamlessly into Deep House territory, with smoothly rolling percussion and a hypnotic arrangement.

Truccy (better known as Compost’s Rainer Trüby and Corrado Bucci) close out proceedings with ‘Closer’, another sun-drenched groove with definite Balearic touches. Jazzy chords and touching vocals (performed by the duo themselves with assistance from Nicolas “Michael Ellis” Rogoll) lend the track a distinctly ‘live’ feel.

A delicious taste of what’s to come from ‘Kon & Gang<‘, this limited 12″ is surely going to be essential listening this summer.

‘Shine (This Is It)’ is the first single from Soul Clap’s self-titled second album, a project that’s been four years in the making. An uplifting house music anthem, it features legendary vocalist Nona Hendryx and includes remixes from Dimitri From Paris and DJ Rocca aka Erodiscotique. 

Nona Hendryx is an original member of the trio Labelle who’s smash single “Lady Marmalade” is a timeless classic. Her solo singles “Transformation” and “Do What You Wanna Do” from the 80’s are equally prolific to her work as a back-up vocalist for a laundry list of legendary acts including Parliament-Funkadelic, Talking Heads and Peter Gabriel. There is magic contained in ‘Shine (This Is It)’ and the strength in Hendryx's vocal empowers our sprits and moves us on the dancefloor. Midnight Magic’s Morgan Wiley delivers an outstanding keyboard solo and fellow bandmate Jason Disu teams up with Kalí Rodríguez and No Regular Play’s Greg Paulus to form the Soul Clap horn section. 

Remixes come courtesy of Erodicotique a collaboration between Dimitri From Paris, the esteemed French producer who gained huge exposure in the mid 90's for his Playboy Mansion mix series and Sacreblue album and DJ Rocca, the modern Italo Disco master. Their main vocal and dubstrumental renditions take us back to the piano driven, Italo House sound of the 90’s with a classic loon sample to prick the ears of the old school. 

“Shine (This is It) started as an experiment using as many sounds from the Moog Sub37 as possible,’ explain Soul Clap, ‘We wanted to write something that felt as modern as it did retro, which is a typical frame of mind for us over here! It’s the big question how can you charge forward but always nod to the past? Shout out goes to Chuck “Tha Fonk” Fishman and Sa’D “The Hourchild” Ali from the Parliament-Funkadelic mob who put us in touch with Nona Hendryx. She was such a pleasure to work with and got into the groove of this record effortlessly.” 

Starting out cutting their teeth in the early rave scene in Boston, Soul Clap soon found fame through a series of house edits and became household names through notable releases including a DJ Kicks alongside close allies Wolf + Lamb. Their funky electronic sound, called EFUNK, earned them honorary entry into the Parliament-Funkadelic family and a release with George Clinton. As DJs they have played around the world and back again, with residencies at legendary venues like DC10, Output and the Electric Pickle.
