Layais a DJ that can cater for all floors, whether it be a dark sweaty club venue or an open festival setting on a sunny summers day, Laya comes armed with suitable basslines for all occasions. Although her sets can be varied in style with anything from house to breakbeat, her heart lies with the drum & bass scene where influences from the likes of Lenzman, Bladerunner, Break and SPY have helped her to develop the style she aspires to. Her sound ranges across the drum & bass spectrum, but expect a musical journey of anything from liquid rollers, old skool drum & bass influences and high energy dance floor movers. Originally hailing from Lincoln, her early DJ career saw her support a large number of her influences at local promotion Undertone. Since moving to Brighton in August 2013, club and festival promotors have been taking advantage of Laya's ability to warm up for headline acts, or equally, take over the booth to keep the vibe of the dance floor flowing on lines ups with some of the most established artists and DJ's in the scene. More recently, Laya has been building on radio exposure where internet station Rough Tempo have taken on Laya for her fortnightly "Bass Imaginarium" show giving her a regular platform to present her sound to the world, and guest appearances on Brighton's CodeSouth FM. 2014 see's Laya DaBass continue to fulfil high expectations of passionate energetic performances with regular bookings across the UK.

Meraki a drum n bass duo from the South East some are referring to as 'Queens of the Rollers’. This Drum n Bass duo have startled audiences with their selection, mixing and energy together behind the decks.

Formally known as Laya and Ember after 8 years of playing solo they have joined forces to bring the soul led duo Meraki to life. Driven by dark rollers...grunting horns…snarling basslines…vocals…and everything in between! Supporting some of drum n bass’s heavyweights Annix, Dj Limited, T.I, Levela Dj Marky, Lenzman, Bcee, Dj Aphrodite, Congo Natty, Rene La Vice, High Contrast, Bladerunner, Bad Company and many more…. this is only the very beginning.
