Michal Poncar started his playing in 1993 under a name DJ Face. In that times it was just in small places near Prague. As an eager Radio 1 listener he met Béla Némeshegyi and very soon he started to write reviews for Béla..s Pareniste server under a nickname Myclick.

In 1999 he was also contributing with reviews of new records to Tripmag magazine thanks to Honza Babka who was editor in chief in that time. One year later, after his work for Trance.cz server, Mellow with Dan Kafka offered him a collaboration with Techno.cz.

After reviews with unbelievable 13.000 types he is enjoying writting of voluminous reports from the events he took part in. He is preparing news from the world of dance music for this website and publishes DJ beginners..sets. Since 2004 you can hear him two times a week on
Akropolis Internet Radio in programmes Techno.cz on Akropolis Radio and Techno.cz In Da Mix where he is interviewing DJs and mixing live sets right in studio.

House in all its periods was his favourite. But there was basic change at the end of 2001 and the beginning of 2002. Then he was contacted by <a href="http://www.lucasross.net" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Lucas Ross</a> the guitar player, Mataro purchased electronic percussion and Face 2 Face project had got its roughcast. Every performance took place with different guests and with different repertory. Five musician formation Face 2 Face with records and live instruments combination was performing beside small clubs also at Sazava Fest, Creamfields and several times in Roxy Club.

DJ Face currently enjoys first of all nu disco, deep house, dubby house and minimal house and an ideal performance is to him 
a nights Unplugged @ House boat U Bukanyra, House 4 Adults @ 2. patro with DJ Cubik, Groove Bar and Moovement with DJ Diom, Bar v Krymsky with MC Manda, Luft Cafe and Moje Muza with Pavel Aeling and Namax.


At the beginning of 2010 the circle closes and his big dream comes true... Side by side with his friends who he called about his musical wishes to the Radio 1 in the mid of 90th,

iM3, is a DJ and producer, who got fascinated by music back in his early days, when he was a kid. Today it‘s Drum n‘ Bass in particular on which he focuses the most, especially those deep, intelligent vibes we all so adore. „iM3„ he says and that‘s a vision he pursues. He wants to make free music and doesn‘t want to be limited neither genre-wise, nor in any other way imaginable. Some of his finest tunes echoed beyond land and sea and enjoyed recognition from world-famous artists as well.


He‘s the founder and owner of NEW PROGRESS LTD. Together with a handful of producers they focus electronic music scene while slowly building up their reputation amongst world‘s finest. „Our music features a lot of experimental elements in Drum n‘ Bass and Dubstep, which we would like to share with the world.” - he adds.

MIDI LIDI

Electro-pop band „Midi Lidi“ formed in 2006 and was built up around the backbone of the group "Krásný Stěhovák Gerard & Sexuální Nábytek" ("The Beautiful Removal Man Gerard & Sexual Furniture“). Up until 2011, the band members were Petr Marek (vocals, electronics, keyboards), Marketa Lisá (vocals, electronics, keyboards, saxophone), Prokop Holoubek (vocals, drums, keyboards, clarinet, guitar) and three visual artists Filip Cenek, Magdalena Hrubá and Jan Šrámek (aka VJ Kolouch), all of whom were responsible for creating the live visuals, album covers, posters and T-shirts. In 2011 new permanent member Tomino Kelar (drums, keyboards, vocals, ex Mountaineers (Mute records)) joined in the mayhem along with visual artists Teresa Ruller aka VJ TEXA and Roman Přikryl (Fiordmoss). Marketa Lisa decided to take a break. 

2007 saw Midi Lidi release their first album "Cekani na robota" ("Waiting for the robot“) at the Brno based "Xproduction" label. The album was nominated for the Czech 2007 Grammy equivalent „Andel“. With the album's critical success and nation-wide audience appreciation, the band began to tour extensively. In 2009, the band began work on their second release, as well as music for the film "Protektor" (dir. Marek Najbrt). Both albums, "Hastrmans, Tatrmans & Bubáks“ (Xproduction / Malaria) , „Protektor“ (soundtrack, Negativ s. r. o.) were released within a month of each other in the autumn of 2009. The „Protektor“ soundtrack was awarded the prestigious „Cesky lev“ film award and „Hastrmans, Tatrmans & Bubáks“ was again nominated for the „Andel“ music award. Having completed their 70-gig „Bubaks tour", 2010 saw the band pen music to the theatre performances "Krajina se zbrani" (Dejvicke divadlo) and  „Ubu se bavi“ (Divadlo Na Zabradli), as well as music to the critically acclaimed documentary film „Czech Peace“ (dir. Vit Klusak and Filip Remunda - music awarded by "Cena ceske filmove kritiky") as well as the 3D movie „Heartbeat 3D“ (dir. Jan Nemec). The band also performed in the film „Marijine“ (directed by Ales and Zeljka Sukova). Midi Lidi's third release „Operace "Kindigo!" was released in the autumn of 2011 (Xproduction) for which they were nominated for the „Apollo“ music award. In 2012 the soundtrack for "Polski film" (d. Marek Najbrt) was again nominated for "Cesky Lev" and "Cena ceske filmove kritiky" film awards. In 2013 music for short film Tram (d. Michaela Pavlatova), based on music for "Protektor" was awarded on couple of film festivals in France.

Midi Lidi are known for their vast touring and appetite for live performances, which are well renowned for their immediate energy.  Since the founding of the band, Midi Lidi have played hundreds of concerts in the Czech Republic, the Slovak Republic as well as Poland, Russia, England, Germany, Spain and Croatia. The band has quickly established itself as a must-see festival band. They performe DJ sets aswell. All current band members are actively involved and respected in various arts within their own country and abroad.  On the rapidly growing creative scene in the Czech Republic, Midi Lidi members are respected individually as filmmakers, actors, theatre artists, promoters, visual artists and graphic designers.
