@muqataa is an electronic musician and MC based in Ramallah, Palestine. Creating sounds using sampled material, field recordings, and electronic devices, the results range between harsh beats, abstract tones, and glitch. He co-founded the Ramallah Underground Collective  [2002-2009]. Muqata'a is also co-founder and member of the sound and image performance group Tashweesh alongside artists Basel Abbas and Ruanne Abou-Rahme. He has released several solo albums including; Inkanakuntu (2018) on Discrepant, Dubt Al-Ghubar (2017) on Third Type Tapes, La Lisana Lah (2017), and Hayawan Nateq (2013). Muqata’a has composed several film scores, as well as scores for dance-theatre performances, and is now working on different collaborative and solo projects.

Falyakon, is a multi-instrumentalist and DJ based between Palestine and Berlin. She hosts a monthly radio program on Root Radio, and is also co-curator & resident DJ of Al Musalsal; a series of live performances and DJ sets in Palestine and beyond. Falyakon breaks the rules of mixing in multi-layered, genre-defying, erratic sets, that express what being free truly means. She is controlling time and distorting structure by warping rhythms and morphing tones in a journey filled with distant memories, interruptions, and projections of what is to come.

Also this broadcast includes interviews with artists focused on Palestine, including Palestinian artists in the diaspora and other awesome cultural workers. Finally you will hear the voices of people around the world who have recorded voice notes specifically for this Radio AlHara broadcast and also those recorded to be played at one of the solidarity protests in London through an awesome project called Street Soundsystem. Finally there are also some tracks included in this broadcast that artists have intentionally shared for transmission specifically on Radio AlHara and are happy to share their work in this context of a solidarity radio broadcast with Palestine. Creating sounds based in Ramallah, using sampled material, field recordings, and electronic devices, the results range between harsh beats, ambient tones, increasingly been known for his more avant-garde noise music. and glitch. He released a number of solo albums in the past few years such as “Hayawan Nateq” in 2013 and his soundtrack album “La Lisana Lah” 2017 and the limited tape edition on Third Type Tapes “Dubt Al-Ghubar” in 2017 and recently released his full-length album “Inkanakuntu” on the sub-label souk/discrepant, and has composed several international and local film scores, as well as dance theater performances, and is now working on different collaborative and solo projects. Muqata'a is the godfather of hip hop in Ramallah.
