Galileo's telescopic observation of the moons of Jupiter orbiting the planet  was a black swan moment for the Church's earth centred view of the universe. As ever those whose long held beliefs were challenged by the facts did not react well. Plus ca change.

Galileo Galileii stood before the court 
Accused of breaking sacred law
In what he said and what he thought  
They told him God had made us the centre of all things
The earth stood still, The universe
revolves around in perfect spheres and rings.

But he had seen the moons of Jupiter
Sailing through the void
And knew at once religious law
Had forever been destroyed
The power of observation
Proved the earth went round the sun
And we were not the centre of all things
as we were told we had become.

The Bishops and the Cardinals
Were outraged by the thought
That places held by God and man
Were not what they had always taught,
They forced a recantation of his controversial views
But as they dragged him from the court
He cried,“But still it moves”

Pathétique: 2nd Movement

The piece, born from the collaboration between Vicenzo, who uses his new alias Piano For Your Soul, and Francesco Adornetto, invites the listener to immerse themselves in an inner journey filled with emotional nuances. The vibrant and suspended melodies reflect a balance between fragility and resilience, symbolising tears that are not only a sign of sorrow but also of transformation and hope.

This composition unfolds as a story without words, a dialogue between two artistic souls exploring the infinite with keys that sing and sighs that dance between the lines. Visual and musical art intertwine in a work that celebrates the hidden beauty of the deepest emotions.

This artwork, titled Tears of Eternity, embodies the delicacy of a piano piece that evokes profound melancholy and intimate beauty. Creating a dialogue between ethereal flowers, faded sheet music, and a stylized piano, the image reflects the emotional flow and the passage of time.

Felipe Lima, a Brazilian composer focused on film, series, and visual storytelling, bringing deep sensitivity and atmosphere.
