I just jammed on top of it with my accordina but it was too much of the three of us, so I split the stereo original, separated he_nu_ri,  mikey_a and myself on 3 tracks (softly panned like the original with mine at centre) and made some very creative use of the delete button, as Eno used to say.

That created some space that I then filled with huge reverbs. I’m afraid I didn’t really honoured the source track on this one, but it is done so I better share it.

I just added a 808 kick and played bass. Most satisfying and less time consuming on the lot, but I don’t think it works, a 4th (soloist) part is needed IMHO.

I dunno, maybe it's springtime in sunny Paris, but I felt the urge for some old disco vibes.

I didn’t change the original tracks at all, I behaved this time.
I added a beat, for that 50 years old euro-disco vibe and then jammed on a lead synth that brought this to some sort of proto-disco-floyd.

Four on the floor man, you can’t go wrong…

Whatever you say, Mr Spaghetti [disquiet0638]

I added a bit of static to CoralineAda’s and Leon Clowes’ mezmerizing duo as an attempt to heighten the tension of the “missed connection” implied by the vocal sample. The static was created with the Landscape Stereofield and tamed somewhat by one of Hainbach’s presets for the Zoia.

This is the third phase of a three-phase sequence over the course of as many weeks during which, consecutively and asynchronously, musicians build trios together.

You can participate in any or all three of the three projects. If you participated in last week’s project, please note these two things:

    to avoid bot issues on Soundcloud, make sure its license is set to allow creative reuse

Also important: In normal circumstances, Junto projects have a one-track-per-participant limit. However, as with the preceding project that led up to this one, you can contribute more than one track this week. The details on that are in Step 5 of the project instructions 9.

The song track is a based on a modern classical atmospheric track that shares musical elements of Orchestral instrumentations along with dreamy ethereal soundscapes including ambient synth along with an accompanying plucked string instrument.

(Song Interpretation) -

"The Crying Road" - is the concept of a road that has "Shed and Shared" with the tears of many travelers a powerful metaphor. This ins't a personal journey, but a universal one, the tears representing the full spectrum of human emotion - from sorrow and hurt that weighs us down, to the joy and happiness that comes from new beginnings. The road is a witness to both profound sadness and hopeful renewal. The songs somber nature doesn't mean it's solely about despair; rather, it's about the beautiful and complex tapestry of life's journey, acknowledging that both tears of sorrow and tears of joy are part of the path.

My 33 1/3 series book about the Aphex Twin album <i>Selected Ambient Works Volume II</i> was published in 2014. The book was one of the top 5 bestselling titles for the calendar year, and in 2015 was ranked by Pitchfork as one of the "33 best" of the 100-plus books in the 33 1/3 series. It has subsequently been translated into Japanese (2019) and Spanish (2018)

Since 2012 I have moderated the Disquiet Junto group, which began on SoundCloud. More at disquiet.com/junto. 

I've written for Nature, Pitchfork, The Wire, Down Beat, Boing Boing, NewMusicBox, Red Bull Music Academy, Art Practical, the website of The Atlantic, and many other publications.
