Guitarrista chileno, se ha presentado como solista en Argentina, Venezuela, Colombia, España, Portugal y Bélgica. En Chile ha participado y estrenado obras en el Festival de Música Contemporánea de la Universidad Católica, en el Festival Internacional de Música Contemporánea de la Universidad de Chile, Festival Entrecuerdas, Festival Guitarras de América, Jornadas de Guitarra Clásica del Teatro del Lago, entre otros. Ha sido premiado por sus destacadas participaciones en certámenes nacionales e internacionales de interpretación: Tercer premio en el 3° Concurso Internacional José Tomás – Villa de Petrer (España, 2004). Tercer premio en el 8° Concurso Internacional Ciudad de Coria (España, 2004). Cuarto premio en el 9° Concurso Internacional Ciudad de Coria (España, 2005). Mención Honrosa y Premio a la Mejor Interpretación de la Obra Chilena, III Concurso Nacional “Liliana Pérez Corey” (Chile, 1998). Mención Honrosa, IV Concurso Nacional “Liliana Pérez Corey” (Chile, 2001). Ha editado y producido tres CDs, “Appassionata” (2008), colección de obras contemporáneas para guitarra sola, “Recinto de la Piedra” (Fondo de la Música 2016), junto al Ensamble de Guitarras de Chile y «De Vez En Cuando» (Fondo de la Música 2020), obras para guitarra microtonal del compositor Felipe Pinto d’Aguiar.



Negin Zomorodi (born 1973, Tehran)The entrance of Piano instrument to her home was roughly coincident with political upheaval in Iran .In 1992 she got her diploma in mathematic and entered to Polytechnic University to study Textile engineering.It is interesting to note that Negin received MS degree in Textile engineering in 1998 while she strongly desired to be a musician! In 2005 she immigrated to Canada where she was determined to change her field to music .Completing Harmony and Music theory in Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto, opened up new horizons for Negin. Upon her return to Tehran she enrolled in the Art University, where she received her MA in Music composition.During the 27th International "Fajr" Music Festival 2012 , she won the first prize for Composition.Since then she has worked with a number of major ensembles, soloists and orchestras. Rebellious Shadow for (flute & piano), performed at the Contemporary Composers Festival in Mississippi University in Music For Woman Festival 2020 .The string quartet Migration, performed by "Respina Quartet" in  Roudaki Hall; . The Dancing Shadows ,for solo alto flute performed by Mehrdad Gholami in Flute Society of  Washington, Mid-Atlantic Flute Convention 2020. She released her quartet under the name of Dream of Desertion. The Lane of Your Look is her piano solo collection.The Bobble & Mirage is her piano improvisation with traditional Iranian instruments .She also records her symphonic orchestra pieces In_immigration ,with Prague Metropolitan Symphonic Orchestra in Czech radio studio. Timeless Mirror is her last music album. Negin has established a music Association named Gozar Music Assembly to close the scattering music lovers.. Today Negin Zomorodi is the manager of Gozar Music Academy which she founded in 2017.

I compose concert music including solo works, chamber music and orchestral pieces.

I am a composer that is classically trained with broad interest and experience in world musics. MM New England Conservatory '86, BM University of Massachusetts at Amherst '76.

My compositions have won awards from the Massachusetts Cultural Council, New England Reed Trio International Chamber Music Composition Competition, a Bryant Fellowship from Harvard University, and a certificate from the 21st Century Music Project Competition of the the International Center for Japanese Culture in Yokohama, Japan. My works have been performed across the United States, Europe and Japan.

As a composer, I am interested in considering commissions and collaborations. Performing scores and parts are available to all my works here on SoundCloud through Universal Edition, J. W. Pepper Music, Frank Warren Music Service, or by contacting me.
