“I am, above all, a DJ,” states the always captivating Lea Lisa. Based in Switzerland, She is also a vinyl addict who never stops digging and hasn’t since she first started in 1995. 

From emotive deep house to driving techno, warm and soulful sounds to jacking club tracks, she has it all in her arsenal. 

Her sets always effervesce with passion and have taken her from clubs everywhere China to Copenhagen, New York to Paris, as well as high profile festival stages at Nuits Sonores, Southern Soul Festival, Suncebeat, Polaris or finest Underground club as Heideglühen in Berlin, Koko in London or DC10 to names a few…

Lea Lisa's track is an authentic link to the essence of house music, but with an always fresh perspective. So far she has released on the highly respected likes of Chez Damier and Jorge Caiado’s Inner Balance, cult UK outlet Wolf Music and Phonica Records sub-label Karakul, with more to come...

She confirmed in 2022 with the magnificient " Love To the End" on the legendary Label Phonica.

For many years, she was also programming the monthly Bliss residency and lining up superbly tasteful parties headlined by the likes of Alex From Tokyo, DJ Deep or Kerri Chandler. She restarted this rendez-vous in 2021 at the Folklor, one of the finest clubs in Switzerland with Real House Heads as Garrett David, Ladymonix, Yen Sung or Session Victim...

Here is my humble tribute to Detroit.
Specially to Ms Kelli Hand. She was the first female House/Techno producer I ever heard of. 

A pioneer and someone we should all be thankful to for paving the way as a woman into a male-dominated music scene. My intention with the mix was to share the beautiful and inspiring Detroit music including also local fellow music legends Theo Parrish, Moodymann, Carl Craig amongst others. I've been wanting to do a special on an artist I appreciate for some time. I've listened to a lot of Glenn's records, and it's with a lot of pleasure that I chose to do this show on him. 
I think that the diversity in terms of production, the constant quality for so many years deserves much more than an hour as Glenn's discography is so rich, but I've chosen a few of his productions, remixes and collaborations that I've played a lot.

So for episode 034 we had a lot of shouts after sharing the first disc on this compilation, which was the Jeremy Healy one. (Also excellent). But with so many requests it was time to get the Whitehead one up there, and after listening to again for the first time in over 10 years or so the memories of its brilliance came flooding back. It's a more soulful set with come epic vocal and feel good moments which made the mid to late 90's a much more enjoyable place to be.

So many stand out tracks but off the top of my head, Right and Exact, Tall and Handsome, Weekend, I Believe, Happiness and the highlight for me, the epic 'Sweetest Day of May' by Joe T. Vannelli Project. It's fantastically put together and a mix with truly belongs into the classic status. Whatever you're up to now Alistair... we salute you!

DJ since the end of 1990's, she had distinguished herself in the south of france mainly by her activism for electronic music and DJ sets that reveal an exquisite taste and a boundless knowledge of music. After a break in her deejaying career she's now back with a fresh energy, lots of inspiration and endless passion. I hope you will enjoy listening to her musical journey as much as I do respect her involvement...
