Three friends, united by a passion for Jamaican sounds, present their first music release. Inspired by dub and dancehall, the sound reflects both Jamaica’s rich traditions and modern influences. During the Corona curfew, the opportunity arose to explore new soundscapes through intensive improvisations.

Self-built musical instruments – showcased in the attached jpeg – lend the recordings a distinctive, handcrafted character. This project marks the beginning of a planned series focused on collaborative learning and experimentation, with the aim of sharing unique musical visions with an open community and fostering dialogue about the future of music.

ich hatte diesen text als übersetzung des originals ("it's bigger than hiphop" der new yorker polit-rap-crew DEAD PREZ) damals 2007 geschrieben. 
grund dafür waren erlebnisse, in denen ich menschen in münchner clubs den refrain mitrufen hörte, kurz bevor oder nachdem sie zu "big pimpin" oder sonstigem rap-bullshit feierten, gegen dessen Inhalte sich der track von Dead Prez meiner Auffassung nach - eigentlich genau richtete. 
Da dachte ich mir, muss der Englisch-LK aufm Abi doch mal was gebracht haben, und übersetzte den Text ins Deutsche, wobei ich Reimstrukturen und Flows nach Möglichkeit auch beibehielt. 

Jetzt (Mai 2013) nahm ich den Text nochmal neu auf, weil ich den Text mittlerweile (nach 5 Jahren) noch besser rappen kann und auch bessere Aufnahmemöglichkeiten daheim habe.
