well derpy wrecked the roof with her clumsy little hooves so they had to get some bits to fix it up
rainbow tried her best but derpy is the best at derping up and making a big mess!
AJ said she'd win the prize they stomped the ground and watched her smile when she'd give it all away
so she took the train to canterlot thot she'd go and win a lot for all her friends back there in ponyville
well a week went by and they all cried when AJ scribed and said goodbye sayin' she wasnt coming back
didnt know why but they couldn't stand by so they ran out the door and the pegasus fly to search the town for Applejack
well poor little AJ lost her pride it made her hide it made her cry she couldn't show her face again in town again
she ran away cuz she lost the game and got a job for the pay buckin' cherry trees for some bits
and Cherry Jubiliee was just as nice as she could be but Applejack was hiding facts and dodging questions
so rainbow dash and pinkie pie tried to get her to confess and put her to the test with cherry chimmy chongas   kumquat picklebarrel made her crack cuz she couldn't really take much more of that and so she said she tell them all what happened
but she broke her pinkie promise and pinkie raged so they stole a cart and began to chase cuz friendship is persistent
tears were shed and much was said as AJ told the truth about the reason she left and said i'm sorry   but it doesnt matter if you didnt win it's who ya are beneath your skin  wouldnt be the same here with out you

Having a short break from school, I decided to go back to straight acoustic guitar.  More specifically, fingerstyle.  I seem to have gone for a real Andy McKee vibe with this one.

A little more sad in tone than my usual stuff as of late, this song ended up being pretty personal.  I debated posting it, even.  There's a reason Fluttershy is my favorite pony, because I feel I identify most with her.  We all have things we're scared to do for fear of failure, rejection, etc.  I constantly have self doubts in my animation, music, art, and many other things.  But eventually, you realize that nothing will ever happen unless you're brave enough to try and to take that leap.  Sometimes you make it, sometimes you fall.  But when you do fall, your friends are there to catch you.

I quit a very well paying job to pursue a career in animation by studying and going to school full time, moving back in with my extremely supportive parents and living the broke student life again.  I do not regret this decision, for I've never been happier than I am right now.

I think we all took a leap with giving this wonderful cartoon and community a chance, some more than others.  And look how amazing that turned out :)
