Lectro Chik is an indie record label established in Pennsylvania USA in 2006 and currently operating from Colombia. Our releases are available on Beatport and I-Tunes.

The brain-child of Jorge Jaramillo (Who Da Funk) who scored a Chart Topper titled “Shiny Disco Balls” for the Subusa/Subliminal Record Label, Lectro Chik was formed as an outlet to explore the nastier side of House Music, concentrating  our efforts to stay true to the sound that predominantly was “underground and tasteful”. Our doors are always open to like-minded artists and producers.

The Lectro Chik Logo stands out and symbolizes everything the label is associated with. A Technics 1200 turntable in the background symbolic of that era long gone when DJs did it for the love of music, a red star symbolizing the quality of our releases and those top-notch artists that have been part of our label, and a sexy font ending with a record needle symbolic of the sexy, underground House Music found in our catalogue.

D-FORMATION is Dimas Carbajo, the owner and main exponent of BEATFREAK GROUP, a business alliance which is proud to include, among many others, the first Spanish record label of underground electronic music , BEATFREAK RECORDINGS, which has been conveying this national music style to the entire planet since 1997.

With over 25 years in his career path, both in worldwide booths and music studios in his role as a producer, D-FORMATION is one of the most respected electronic music artists across the world. Proof of that is his album 'MADRID' for YOSHITOSHI, (Deep Dish's label), which was launched in one of the most prestigious compilation series of the industry, being the only Spanish artist featured in it so far.

When he was barely 17 years old, he was awarded the first prize of the Spanish DMC DJ championship for two consecutive times (see file) and as from that time onwards his work was indefatigable not only as a megamixer for numerous Spanish multinational music companies, but also travelling around the entire country with his DMC gigs.

When he was only 23 years, one of his ever greatest projects came about and that was founding his first record label, MD RECORDS, which revolutionized the then electronic music market and positioned itself as the best Spanish label with the best electronic music for many years.

In 2003, driven by the professional need of giving a change not only to his career, but also to his own music style, the great artistic evolution came into being and with which he continues to work these days: D-FORMATION.

As from that moment onwards, his rise as a DJ and producer was and continues to be unstoppable, achieving and securing the recognition and support of the great majority of the underground industry from Tech and Progressive House to Trance itself. And all that was due to those melodic tinges, intrinsic and inherent to his tracks, which delighted and made wonders with artists such as Tiësto, Armin Van Buuren, Danny Tenaglia, John Digweed, Hernan Cattaneo or Deep Dish, which also enabled him to work for important record labels like Sony Music, Virgin Records, EMI, Beatfreak, Tusom, Toolroom, Yoshitoshi, Frequenza, Nervous, Twisted, CR2, Stereo Productions, Monique Musique or Baroque.

Numerous prizes as a DJ and as a producer granted by the industry vouch for all those years of his professional career, although it is noteworthy his #39 position in the Top 100 DJs of the prestigious DJMAG magazine, the highest ranking that a Spanish DJ has ever achieved (see file).

Nowadays he combines his work at the studio with an almost permanent tour across the best festivals and events in the entire world such as Space, Amnesia, Privilege or Pacha in Ibiza, Ageha and Womb (Tokyo), Zouk Club (Singapore), Pacha Cielo (New York), Stereo (Montreal) Sirena (Brazil), Ministry Of Sound (London), Paradiso (Amsterdam), Queen (Paris), Pacha Sharm (Egypt), Space (Miami), Avalon (Los Angeles), Space of Sound or Fabrik (Madrid), SOS Club, Cindirella Club, Absolut Club, Feelnet Club (China), Evil Club (Seoul) or Stadium Club (Jakarta), at which he has shared the booth with as renowned artists as Marco Carola, Carl Cox, John Digweed, Loco Dice, Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Lawler, Dubfire, Nic Fanchulli, Chus & Ceballos, Dave Clarke, Layo & Bushwacka, Sharam, Victor Calderone, Technasia, Michel De Hey, Booka Shade or Umek.

A lot has happened in the last 20 years of dance music, but one constant has been Get Physical right at the sharp end of the scene. The label has become a globally recognised symbol of quality, renowned for its always varied and vital house output. Forming the backbone of the label's vast catalogue is the influential in-house DJ mix series, Body Language. It is a snapshot of exactly where the underground is at and has been assembled by tastemakers such as Azari & III, Catz ‘N Dogz, Dixon, DJ Hell, Francesco Tristano, Nôze and of course label-founders Booka Shade, DJ T., and M.A.N.D.Y..

Next to that there has been a constant stream of innovative, dance-floor ready singles, crossover club classics, seminal remixes and a number of standout artist albums. The label has always stayed true to its house roots, but with a rich array of influences taken from the worlds of disco, deep, tech and melodic house. Along the way, Get Physical´s core artists have been joined by red hot new talents including Alinka, Thandi Draai, PAUZA, Yulia Niko, Birds Of Mind, CIOZ and Monkey Safari. An unequivocal industry visionary, DJ Hell's career has embodied and then transcended his many guises: Anti-Superstar DJ, International DeeJay Gigolo Label Boss, GQ Man of the Year, Playboy, Jetsetter, Bon Viveur, Munich Machine, New York Muscle. Seeing, and envisioning - that is of enormous relevance to Hell. He managed to convey pure artistic prowess as well as pure style during his thirty year DJ career. The individual look, the do-it-yourself approach, the elitism. That's how it grew.
