Mit Wurzeln im klassischen Klavierspiel und fundierter Ausbildung als Audio Engineer erschafft er cineastische elektronische Musik, die weit über die Tanzfläche hinaus wirkt. Sein Sound verbindet atmosphärische Flächen, emotionale Tiefe und fein konstruierte Rhythmen – stets mit einem klaren Gefühl im Mittelpunkt. Nach Jahren hinter den Kulissen der internationalen Event- und Showtechnikbranche fand er 2010 zurück zur Musik – mit neuer Reife, klarem Fokus und dem Wunsch, Klangwelten zu gestalten, die berühren. Seither entwickelt er einen einzigartigen Stil, der Introspektion und Energie miteinander verbindet. Inspiration findet sich in Stille, Transformation und der Fragilität von Licht. Sein kommendes Debütalbum Fragments of Light, das bei Sony Music erscheint, ist eine Reise durch emotionale Fragmente – von Dunkelheit hin zu Klarheit. Jacques Cortelyou is a Professional Pianist/Keyboardist/Composer/Producer from New York.  His education is a blend of being self-taught and formal training at Berklee College of Music, where he studied Piano and contemporary writing and production from 1999 to 2001.  Throughout his Professional career, he has performed both in-studio as a session musician and in live settings, focusing on composition, arranging, production, motif, musical structures, and tonal harmony. His advanced knowledge of harmony and Jazz chord voicings is frequently showcased in his recordings.  As a Pianist Jacques's foundations and background are in Jazz, Blues, Rock, and Latin. In addition to Piano he has studied and performed extensively on the B3 Hammond Organ, Fender Rhodes and Hohner Clavinet.  

Jacques has carved out a unique niche as an Electronic musician, producer, and composer. Over the past 20 years, he has crafted music for himself and for DJs at club events and radio streams, delving into Electronic genres such as House, Progressive House, Electro, Ambient, and Drum and Bass. His writing, recording, and live performances, including Live PAs, have captivated audiences worldwide. Jacques believes that creating music and frequency is fundamental to the universe, and each addition to it has a very special meaning.

In his latest creative ventures, Jacques is producing tracks with quick turnaround times, designing statement pieces that prioritize motif, tone, and emotion over heavy production.

He records and writes all of his vocals and meticulously writes, records, edits, mixes, and masters all of his Electronic music using Cubase Pro, Ableton Live, Roland’s VST Instrument Suite, and many others. His Piano styles prominently feature the Piano, Fender Rhodes, B3 Hammond Organ, and vintage synthesizers such as the Roland Juno, Jupiter, and ProMars, adding a rich, timeless quality to his sound.  His favorite and most inspiring Pianists are Herbie Hancock & Chick Corea - their concepts and tones are often found in Jacques' performance style.

LEDGE est un groupe français formé en 2001 par Polérik Rouvière et Olivier Martyn.
Ils développent alors ensemble une musique Pop-Electro aux influences larges allant de Depeche Mode aux Beatles en passant par The Neptunes ou le duo français Cassius.
Leur son se caractérise par des rythmiques dancefloor et des claviers saturés sur lesquels viennent se poser des voix aux mélodies accrocheuses. 
Leur premier album « A Ledge Odyssey » sort en 2003 sur le nouveau label parisien Ledge Music alors fondé par le duo. Les singles comme “Together” ou encore “Icarus” sont largement repris par les radios. Un extrait du titre « Together » deviendra même l’hymne du jingle : « Radio FG découvreurs de talents ».

L’aventure se poursuit ensemble en tant que « producteurs » ou « remixeurs » pour des artistes comme Alain Souchon ou Culture Club (Boy George). L’une de leur production sera même reprise dans la mythique série américaine : The Soprano. 
Mais c’est aussi séparément que les deux compères s’émancipent. Polérik travaillera pour Dyonisos, Yann Tiersen ou encore Charlie et, en tant que compositeur, sera même nominé en catégorie « Meilleure musique de Film » au Festival International du Film de Dubaï. 
Quant à Olivier, c’est comme « remixeur » qu’il continue de se faire remarquer avec une productivité importante en sévissant dans le milieu électro sous de multiples pseudonymes pour des artistes comme Moussa Clarke, Chynna Blue, The Fresh Makers ou Muttonheads.

En 2009, ils décident ensemble d’entreprendre la production d’un nouvel album pour LEDGE. L’univers plus mûr et enrichi par leurs récentes expériences se dessine rapidement. Les collaborations se multiplient (Charlie http://www.myspace.com/charliemusique , Cédric Oheix http://www.myspace.com/cedricoheix ou encore Cylia http://www.myspace.com/cyliaofficial ) et l’album prend forme, porté par ce nouveau collectif.
Le premier maxi « This is Ledge » extrait du deuxième album à venir du groupe sort le 14 septembre 2009, mais là encore le groupe se démarque en donnant le choix aux auditeurs de télécharger l’intégralité du volume gratuitement ou de l’acheter via une plateforme de téléchargement légale.
A peine sortie, le premier single « California » est playlisté sur Radio Fritz, l’une des plus importante radio Berlinoise, et LEDGE est invité lors d’une émission dédiée aux groupes « indies » sur la chaîne  MTV Base.
Le deuxième LP du groupe est attendu pour cet hiver.
