Androidus is the creative embodiment of Andrew McGill-Brown, a New Zealand-born, Melbourne-based electronic music composer.

An early interest in progressive and extreme genres of music has led to the birth of a unique and complex electronic sound. Rich futuristic and psychedelic sound-scapes are carefully crafted, exploring light hearted and playful grooves. 

This is fulfilling a lifelong dream of creative musical expression, with the goal of spreading a positive vibe to anyone willing to listen.

In the space of just four years, English techno act WHYT NOYZ has risen from an unknown name to a staple of some of the world’s biggest electronic music labels.

Now a solo project of David Sidley, WHYT NOYZ was formed in 2010 by two best friends to formulate their take on sleek, hard-grooving techno – having been raised on a shared diet of electronic and black music. Hip-hop, funk and soul all played formative roles before he discovered house music thanks to the likes of Joey Negro and Masters At Work and began playing in local clubs. His passion for techno soon followed. “As I got more into the electronics of sound and this symbiotic relationship between man and machine, I began to dig deeper” he recalls. The powerful rhythmic components of the WHYT NOYZ sound also give a nod to his background as a drummer – something he has been doing since the age of 6. He began producing in 2007.

Fusing the groove of post-minimal techno with live percussive elements, deft rap samples and high-impact effects, WHYT NOYZ’s is a resolutely contemporary sound – but one that still gives subtle nods to his past. “As my creative mind has developed, so has the sound” he says of his blend of digital and analog. “It has evolved into something more considered and memorable. A sound that has a stronghold in something peak-time and driving but with melodic elements to help captivate the mind.”

Catching Richie Hawtin’s ear with early production Volcano made for the perfect start to WHYT NOYZ’s career, with the track signed to his MINUS12 imprint and featured on the label boss’ Mixmag ‘New Horizons’ compilation. This huge seal of approval set Sidley on a fast track into the upper echelons of the techno scene, with Dubfire signing the Homewerk EP to his SCI+TEC Digital imprint after they met in Ibiza. The release landed in Beatport’s Top 40 Techno Chart, and led to a follow-up (They EP).

Releases and remixes for Sian’s Octopus Black Label, Kaiserdisco’s KD Music and Monika Kruse’s Terminal M all followed, plus an appearance on Pan-Pot’s Sonne Mond Sterne compilation, cementing his reputation and vindicating Hawtin’s early belief in the WHYT NOYZ sound. Impressed by the success of Volcano, he signed the act up for a full release: Back To The Future EP. The Minus boss gave all four tracks heavy rotation during the 2013 season of his Space Ibiza night ENTER. He continues to play digital bonus track Meh Meh to this day. The EP hit Beatport’s Techno Chart Top 5, and received support from Pete Tong on Radio 1 - notably during his Glastonbury Essential Mix.

The ongoing success of the partnership with Minus led to another five-track EP in 2014 (It Grows, supported by the likes of Adam Beyer) and a string of tour dates supporting Hawtin across the world. WHYT NOYZ played alongside him at the hallowed Ten Days Off in Belgium, between him and Disclosure at Kappa FuturFestival in Italy and in front of a home crowd at the legendary fabric in London. His sets continue to garner rave reviews, with bookings at Berlin’s Watergate, Paris’ Le Tunnel (“1200 people going totally nuts, sweat dripping off the roof”) and in Ibiza, Amsterdam, Mexico City, Goa and Istanbul to name a few.

With the release of his third SCITEC Ep Dimensions and a host of remixes to boot, it looks very much like WHYT NOYZ’s rapid ascent will continue and place him amongst the big leagues of electronic music. “My goal is simply to continue producing and playing music to stay connected” he says. “As my sound constantly develops, I feel energised to keep pushing to see where it goes. It is a drug for sure.”

Eloy (born on March 24, 1986, in Madrid), known by many as ELHOI VG, grew up during the 90's in the humble neighbourhood of Hortaleza. Strongly influenced by his parents’ broad music knowledge, Eloy displayed a great interest in a wide range of musical genres from a very early age: Mike Oldfield and his famous “Tubular Bells”, Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) and his classic “Wish you were here”, Bob Marley, Slade, Credence Water Revival, Bee Gees, Boney M, Donna Summer, Depeche Mode… and the list goes on.

During the mid-nineties, he experienced his first contact with electronic music while listening to a mesmerising techno, trance and electro set being played by his elder cousin.

In 2008 he made his first DJ appearance as DJ Kre alongside Madrid’s underground MC Tito Soul. That same year they toured the capital as a duo (Tito Soul & Kre), offering doses of authentic underground rap. During that period they were also experimenting with electro, house, minimal and techno. 

In 2009 he joined COLECTIVO M with Marko Octavio aka Furia (Xtr music) and Vico Deep (Studio 76, Madrid), and they started organising free parties and small club nights all around Madrid. 

Two years later, in March 2011, Eloy moved to the Scottish city of Edinburgh, where his techno loaded sessions received a warm welcome. On a short period of time finds his own place in the underground scene playing sets in club nights like Laptop Lounge or Shake Yer Shoulders, visiting Clubs like Studio 24, Liquid Room and The Bongo Club. 

By July 2013, DISORDER CLUB EDINBURGH, what today is a reference within Edinburgh's techno scene, sees the light; a monthly night that began in a small venue called Henry's Cellar. Elhoi VG, along with DARI J & DIMEBAG, another two DJs from Madrid met along his Scottish journey, are responsible for gradually circulating the rumour about their club night's good quality techno sets.

In 2014, after a good acceptance from local DJs and promoters, DISORDER CLUB EDINBURGH moves to the well-established venue The Mash House, where the Madrid-born DJ finally gains a well-deserved reputation before the public with sets full of energy that do not leave anybody indifferent and make people dance until they drop. ELHOI VG has shared lineup with artists like DAX J, OSCAR MULERO, AXEL KARAKASIS and with residents from other well established nights like DARREL HARDIN & SEAN LAIRD (PULSE) KYTE & WOLFJAZZ (JACKHAMMER & STEPBACK) SQYRE (BULLET DODGE) among many other local artists. 

In short, the Madrid-born always offers on each of his sets an intense pure techno vibe, without additives, displaying clear influences from record labels like Selected Records, Remain Records, Kaleydo Records or Organism, and inspired by artists such as Chris Liebing, Axel Karakasis, Alan Fitzpatrick, Jeff Mills or Derrick May.
