​If you mix high energy and a whole lot of soul, what do you get? Remedy.

Growing up in Toronto, Remedy quickly fell in love with the underground music scene. Her Drum and Bass obsession began in the dark side rooms of house and techno raves, where the dark and heavy sounds at 170+ reigned supreme. Over and over again, the dark rolling bass lines and chilling vocals drew her in. The next thing, Remedy was spending the entire night dancing to the rhythm that fueled her movements so innately. Remedy marks these moments as the beginning of her love for rave culture. She knew she was here to stay.​

Outfitted with a set of Tech 12’s and a modest vinyl collection, Remedy was determined to teach herself how to mix. She relied on her classical music training and her eclectic range of musical influences to guide and inspire her as she learned to command the decks. Fast forward to 2020 and Remedy has supported acts such as Pendulum, Nu:Tone, Mampi Swift, Logistics, Aries, Ray Keith, Ulterior Motive, Bachelors of Science, Spectrasoul, Submorphics, T.R.A.C and MC Funsta.

​With an ear for melodic mixes and complicated break beats, Remedy is not afraid to showcase the dark and heavy side of drum and bass. She intertwines the sounds of ethereal vocals blended with heavy hitting beats and rolling bass lines like it’s her calling. She weaves a narrative through every set, inspiring others to open through movement and shared connection.

Currently proving herself to be a staple in the Toronto DJ scene, Remedy has repeatedly shown her ability to bring a unique vibe to any party. Whether she’s playing the city’s most legendary clubs and nights such as Rebel or Coda, or livening up the stages at Valhalla, Future Forest and Pride festival, her dynamic sound and bouncy vibe always gets the entire crowd moving. Not only is her energy infectious, but her tune selection is top notch. She’s got a rep for her deep crate, coining the title “Queen of the B Sides” by her peers.
Remedy is a rising force in the world of bass, continually showing us that the love for music truly brings people together.

Light After Darkness

Conor is a best-kept-secret around Toronto, with regular great nights at Dundas Video,  and he's a long-term friend. He has joined us for our yearly invasion of Detroit's Movement festival enough to have found a part of his soul in that city. He was our first best choice to start off Promise Cherry Beach 2018, especially for this Detroit showcase weekend. Thanks Conor.

Toronto-based LeeLee Mishi is known for her smooth sets of deep, jazz-infused house and minimal techno. She started DJing with deep house vinyl in 2000 and her style evolved to more minimal sounds when she switched to digital in late 2007. LeeLee's current sets often blur the line between house and techno, with bouncy bass lines and playful grooves that keep the dance floor moving.

Along with Zuzana Grimm and Tal (Faetal), she created and hosted the Cyclelogic monthly to showcase local female DJs and producers, and was a resident at the long-running underground weekly Archi-textures.

She has played alongside international talent such as Magda, Kollektiv Turmstrasse, Daniel Bell, John Acquaviva, Robag Wruhme, and Robert Babicz at late night venues and various outdoor events such as Promise Cherry Beach, Harvest Festival, Camp Summerdaze, Om Summer Solstice Festival and Burning Man.

LeeLee is a founding member of the Suma collective whose signature Om Festival drew global fans from 1998 to 2004.
