The infamous deep house trio from Gugulethu have put together this beautifully crafted 3 track Ep, with songs like “Children of the North” and “Just In Time” that boast that signature Messive Muzik sound of dynamic earth-pounding baselines, surprising switch ups, colourful thought out moods and melodies that slowly and subtly change and evolve through out each song.

”Pondo land” has important narrative with evolves into high energy uplifting deep house, decorated with intricate soundscape and relentless groove woven together with spoken word of local political statements about certain struggles facing South Africa, makes this contrast of emotions a very special listening and dancing experience

Messive Muzik have been forging a path through the underground dance music scene in South Africa since 2014. What started as part label, part collective eventually took flight as one of the industry’s brightest musical prospects. Fundile, Lizwi and Zingisa are at the controls in what is known as Messive Muzik today.

The trio combine deep house and melodic techno influences in their calculated performances – crafting backdrops for profound dancefloor experiences that move the feet and lift the soul.

MKLY is a producer, DJ and label partner at Ambious Records. He has remixed artists such as Township Rebellion, released on labels such as Traum Schallplatten and Tommy Boy Records and has shared the stage with Above & Beyond, Oliver Schories, Sebastian Leger, Ron Costa, Steve Aoki, Black Coffee, Max Chapman, Undercatt, Dirty Doering, Sascha Cawa, Till Von Sein, Boogie Vice, Danny Wade, Taao Kross and many more.

MKLY has worked in music production education with a running production studio, Sky Bear Studios, that provides music for the film and advertising industry and has worked in A&R for a number of labels.

He has a long history as a DJ and producer across various aliases and genres including Mini K, Riot Squad, Ctrl Room and previously under his own name Mike Kelly. His music fuses Deep and Melodic House and creates a definitive sound that has had him performing all over the country.
