I'm honestly stumped as to what time signature this is even in. How do you even work in these?

*reads description* Oh...i understand Verse's feelings.I also have a special childhood place that i used to play with the neighbor kids, but now it's all old and abandoned. It's painful to go there now, but every once in a while i tend to visit that old place ç_ç...(Also this part is REALLY beautiful, i seriously almost cried here ;-;)

Allow me to gush for a moment, but this song came into my life at a time when I'm preparing to move across the country for the first time in my life. I've always lived in the same place my entire childhood, and my birthplace is filled with memories, every part of it. Some good ones yes, but a whole lot of the awkward memories, missed opportunities, mistakes, and embarrassment that comes with being a child. Even if leaving all my family and everything I'm familiar with will be a definite improvement in my life... it's hard not to be all sappy and nostalgic. I feel this song and this mood on a deep, deep level.

If I weren't already following you, I would again after listening to this!

I like the serene and relaxing vibe I get from this. I'd imagine this would go well to a home town location for a game, or, in a movie or show, a wistful and/or playful, lighthearted scene.  I like the use of the bassoon to give that playful romping sort of feel but without detracting from the overall piece.  Well done! I think I may follow...

Manuel Laureano Rodríguez Sánchez, mais conhecido como Manolete (Córdova, 4 de julho de 1917 – Linares, 29 de agosto de 1947), foi um toureiro espanhol.

Manolete ganhou destaque logo após a Guerra Civil Espanhola e é considerado por alguns como o maior toureiro de todos os tempos. Seu estilo era sóbrio e sério, com poucas concessões à galeria, e se sobressaiu com sua "suerte de matar"(maneira precisa de matar o touro). Criou e popularizou um passe com a muleta chamado "Manoletina", que normalmente é dado pouco antes de matar o touro com a espada.

Manolete contribuiu para embelezar as touradas ao incluir movimentos em que era capaz de ficar quase imóvel quando o touro passava perto de seu corpo e, ao invés de dar os passes separadamente, permanecia no mesmo local e juntava quatro ou cinco passes consecutivos, em uma série compacta.

Ele se apresentou em todas as principais praças de touros da Espanha, mas obteve seus maiores triunfos na Plaza de México. Ele morreu após levar uma chifrada na coxa direita, quando estava toureando o quinto touro do dia, um miura[desambiguação necessária] chamado Islero, um evento que deixou a Espanha em virtual estado de choque.

Manolete recebeu seu golpe fatal na cidade de Linares, onde apareceu ao lado de um toureiro em ascensão, chamado Luis Miguel Dominguín, que, após a morte de Manolete, proclamou ser o número um dos toureiros.

Em respeito à morte de Manolete, o general Francisco Franco, ditador da Espanha, ordenou três dias de "luto nacional", durante os quais hinos fúnebres eram ouvidos no rádio.

Once upon a time there was a peaceful and numb world, it was all so boring... until the invasion began. The Blast Processor may have made some bullet holes, but it also made that world wake up.

This album is my repay for a lot of things and people I met in my life and made my mindset what it is now (a mess of beautiful gamey musicy stuff). Starting from my Genesis console when I was a kid, the games I played then, the people that I met who shared the love for that console and that sound the people that introduced me to the pure YM2612 music creation, the people that made me love and make chiptunes and the people that makes the tools so that we arttists can burst out all that love into music.

This version includes remixes by my awesome friends Jredd and swerdmurd!

You'll also find a ROM that you can load into your favorite Genesis/MegaDrive emulator (I recommend KFusion) or in a flash cartridge to play it in real hardware!

There's the link to the earlier one. The mix was a touch muddy, and although parts of the mood resonated with what I was going for, I didn't feel the song felt ethereal enough. To that end, I decided to do some very odd things with the rhythm. I haven't messed around enough with waltz rhythms yet, anyway...

"Looking at Qaimusu Island now, was akin to putting on a pair of gloves that did not fit. Everything was smaller than it had been when Verse was a child, but that was the least of its problems. Even the awkward memories, missed opportunities, mistakes, and embarrassment of childhood paled in comparison to how run down the island was now. 
The tops of abandoned buildings could be seen through the trees, the roads were empty, the forest had overgrown places that hadn't been overgrown before, and more of the strange rocks that had always poked up through the island were doing so now.
Verse could smell a cookfire or two, and it was rather obvious that someone was still living in the village, despite what the coach driver had said. Still more than anything in the world, Verse wanted to avoid going back to the village. 
Instead, the fox-kin turned toward the old cabin the McDowell family had once inhabited, hoping it hadn't collapsed into the sea under its own weight yet."
