Sometimes I just felt like this stuff could accompany dramatic developments in any sort of story, and it happened a lot. So here you go, a bunch of 'em. One place.

HardSpeed Project

Theme for Qeshi from the Hardspeed/Capelspace albums. He's Capel's 'brother' (they're both re-constructed clones made from human hosts.)He has a complicated relationship with the past life of his human host (which is also his past, of course.) He can be very stubborn and tends to be the one to stand up for her and their friends, despite being really sweet most the time. He has a bad temper.
Capel calls him the Steel Flower when she's feeling particularly pretentious (read: always) (Art by Renz!)

In-canon, this was the final song released by a pop-star beloved across the galaxy, before she disappeared into thin air seven years ago. Some say she disappeared on purpose, and her last song being about running away was a plea for help. Her record company thought the song was too 'rock' and too 'hard' for her sound, and it wasn't widely released at first.

More Than Afraid

MASS MEDIA CONSTANT is a 21st century drum n' bass odyssey for the networked generation. By drawing influence from such sources as LTJ Bukem, Photek, BT, Pendulum, and The Sims, zircon ensures no two tracks sound alike. His signature electro-organic style, developed over the course of four previous breakbeat and trance albums, has morphed and evolved with the fast tempos and scintillating colors found throughout this album. 

As you listen, imagine a scene conceived by the artist during the album's creation - walking through a super-stylized version of Times Square at midnight on a Saturday, looking at all the billboards, bathing in neon light, hearing music coming from bars and restaurants, and watching cars and buses fly by.

This is another of the "battle" themes from my upcoming album Return to Aloha (one of the Capel albums, a story about a laser-staff wielding space-monster nurse.) I guess you could call it the standard battle theme if all the Capel albums were a game's storyline.
Which is totally not something I've been poking at.

More HardSpeed music! For those who don't keep up with the (incredibly fractured and name change-y) worldbuilding I've been doing for it over the past several years, the Tsu'ghui are strange cloned monsters that are used by a shady organization to perform assassinations. They have ties to the wars that almost destroyed the galaxy before, but not in the ways you might think. The main character of HardSpeed, Capel, is one of these, or rather, was.
Anyway, they have a big spooky mothership, and this is its theme.

The Tsu'ghui are a strange group of space monsters that perform assassinations all over Earth Federation Space. They're very slippery, and none have ever been captured. It's unclear who is pulling the strings, frustratingly for the AFP. 
Two Tsu'gui units, 03 and 04 are slowly beginning to become self aware. When 04 begins to develop a concept of death and begins to understand love, it may just try to escape its shadowy masters with 03 -- any way it can.

"Falling Apart" is a sixth long play album from LukHash.

A fusion album with an interesting 8bit sounds exploding with catchy beats, flowing melodies and some energetic guitars.

Songs were recorded using real chiptune DMG Gameboys and Commodore 64.

Another HardSpeed song here! This is the battle theme for the Tsu'ghui, a mysterious race of killer clones. It seems like they're being controlled by someone.
The beginning of HardSpeed's narrative follows a squad of Tsu'ghui on a routine mission that turns out to be anything but. I wanted their battle theme to differ heavily from the normal battle theme.

Finally! Got Roy's theme squared away. Out of all the Hardspeed songs, this one's given me the most trouble. It's just upbeat enough, I think! The concept sketches of Roy are by Renz.
Here's to a better 2020.

Viceroy

New HardSpeed track.
This one has to do with more thoughtful, pensive moments for the characters -- specifically Capel, the main character. Capel barely even understands how people work, and yet she desperately wants to live among them. Every step forward is two steps back. Sometimes, she isn't even sure it's worth it to keep trying.

Mostly done using the Korg Wavestation. I started out trying to decipher the patterns one of the presets had, and ended up reproducing the sounds manually instead. From there, the rest of the song formed. :V

Steady Lights

This will be the first track on my upcoming album, HardSpeed. It serves as the opening text crawl more or less. It has a little more orchestral flair than most of the other HardSpeed music. Part of this is due to the main character of this album, Sydney, being a cello player. (Don't worry, Capel still appears.)
I've been working on something big-ish behind the scenes related to HardSpeed as a whole, and this song was definitely a good step in getting it started. For now, expect a new album out sometime this summer!

Transdimensional Gear: Hardspeed

Another song from the HardSpeed universe. Thumbnail as usual is by Proto! Really fun to get back to using 80s sounds again! Missed it.

The NightFighter is a Vulcan-Class Warship claimed by the Rebellion (also known as Harmony Corps.) in the early years of the Silent War. It is manufactured by Genom Frontier enterprises, and houses around 35 Tsu'ghui bio-weapon units. 
You are one of those units. NightFighter is the only home you've ever known.

Recovered the original 2015 project file from Planet Aloha and got it more in line with the direction of HardSpeed these days. It was quite fun to dig this up! Should be on the next HardSpeed/Capelspace album!
