This song is the best - it's been stuck in my head for two weeks, but I'm not complaining. It's one of those songs that feels just as good to remember as it does to listen to. I don't know why that is, but it is, and that's good enough.

A song based on some sounds I woke up with in in my head during the early COVID quarantine days.

Did I Dream This?

So this was a lot of fun to write. I was inspired by some music from the Streets of Rage/Bare Knuckle series which has some of my favorite genesis music of all time. So basically it's a Yuzo Koshiro inspired original piece as a tribute to his style and how much he influences my sound. At the same time, it also has a Jredd twist :). I hope you all enjoy it because I sure enjoyed writing it :D.  Who knows, maybe it'll find it's way into a Streets of Rage fan game or something :P. Thanks for listening, and Yuzo if you're out there and run across my profile, this one's for you man :D.

I try really hard to keep the soundtrack incredibly diverse, so that each song means something, and they all have their own unique ideas, and sounds. This song is probably one of the more drastic examples of that. >~>;  It's fun to try all sorts of things! ...I' went for a classic JRPG type of sound with this one!

Jewel Master (MD) - Fish Out of Water [2A03+5B]

The Central Checkpoint, Zaere sits smack dab in the middle of the southern quadrant of the Kerlynzian Empire. It's the main military base in this quadrant (the oldest one in the empire.) It's also where Verse is based out of for a majority of the second and third books in the Elancia series. It's a lot different from the night time one for sure! Much more military-ish! During the day, trainees are out in the fields sparring, or running exercises. The Empire's getting ready for war, after all... This theme uses the Imperial Knights' main theme from the second album, also!
Art of Verse in her work uniform is by Renz! This song will appear on the third album.

I like this one a little better, really. It shows a bit more of the serious/militaristic side of the Empire and its ruling class, but they're both going on the album!
