A theme for a large, industrialized capital city in that one personal project thingy. :V

Another thing from that project (it's safe to assume that everything I upload is.)
The subject of this particular song is an abandoned temple devoted to the Sea Goddess in the game's world. The temple has a lot of water flowing through it in various directions, and is massive, going down into the ground below.  The Sea Goddess is said to have disappeared roughly 20 years prior to the game's story, but that no longer seems to be entirely true. Even if she still lives though, she's left this temple behind, along with a few other gifts.

People who have listened to a lot of my crap will recognize part of 'Transformation' ( https://soundcloud.com/leila-wilson-woofle/transformation-1-x) in the song as well, as the two are thematically related.

After that, I embarked on a wild goose chase all across creation in order to find something I probably wouldn't have been able to use anyway. Spanning genres from rock, to classical, to techno to funk, and the just plain ol' zany, this album tells the story of Versearrun, a pirate forced onto land in the ever-changing world of Elancia. Join Verse, along with his 'friends', a broadsword wielding barbarian with hidden intelligence, a young mage with hygiene and personal space issues, a quiet warrior from a distant land (who is kind of a jerk,) and the descendant of a mighty hero who has some serious drinking problems. Completely redid this old track from the ground up. It's definitely a lot different than the one I did about 10 years ago (give or take,) but this one jives more with the mood I'm going for with this album. Enjoy!

I didn't originally intend to touch up the intro track to Symphony of Shifting Tides, but I felt it'd be wrong not to have touched up the very first track on the album -- especially considering all the older tracks will be upscaled MP3s.
I will say, though, I had no idea how insurmountable that'd be -- I don't have any of the software or even the computer I made the original on back in 201X. I actually had to do almost all of those from scratch based on what little MIDI data I could recover from the old MIDI I made in the 2000s. Long story short, it came out great! Different, but great. I didn't lean on the guitar in the intro as much (read: I omitted it completely) and am still iffy on that, but overall I think I got it sounding about as close as I can to the original. Enjoy!

As I work back through season 1 buffing out blemishes and scrubbing away grime, I came to realize that I needed to remember what I was working on and why.

Sunflower Fox V3

Sorry for the long hiatus between posts! Right now, I'm focusing on my book. I'm probably going to redo this from scratch as parts of it don't really 'work' for me, but we'll see. (I mean, I ripped myself off with the guitar solo towards the end. Oof.)
I do hope you enjoy this WIP off of an album due sometime next year. (Read: After The Bad Friend releases, which is going to be a while away, 'cause the book comes first!) This track is off the next of the 'Capel Albums' as I've taken to calling them -- the first of which was Planet Aloha.

Shoe Shined

Brought back an old song for Return to Aloha! The album's coming along at a glacial pace due to a bazillion other things dominating my life at the moment (chiefly things to do with the upcoming novel release!) I hope this song (and this adorable drawing of Capel by Renz!) will bring you some joy in the meantime. 
I think the song sounds very much like a busy place, so I figured "Workzone" would be a pretty good title for it. Also one of the few times I've gotten to do major key in the Capel albums!

I'm starting to remember how to make music!
This is from my upcoming album Return to Aloha which is looking to be absolutely massive. Not quite Shifting Tides sized, but pretty large. This song ended up being a mishmash of a lot of the different styles I've used over the Capelspace albums. Some New Jack Swing, some Citypop, some Synthwave, I guess? It's weird, but i'm happy with it.

Colony - Night

Return to Aloha is about 80% done now. This track here is a reprise of the Cafeteria theme from the original Planet Aloha album.  Now it's been extended to not just be the cafeteria, but also the rec center. Colony members need a place to unwind, exercise, and play handball or swim laps, after all! 
There's all sorts of weird disparate elements in this one, but I feel it's mostly cohesive! Enjoy!
