Artist: Andy Green [Verdant Recordings / Vertex ]

Auditory journey number 18 to the musical Frontier is piloted by our good friend and musical aficionado , Verdant Recordings chief groundsman - Andy Green.   

Andy has already featured on one Dub Explorations show and two different Quadrasphere mixes. As well as playing live for us at our Eastern Bloc events,  so we thought it was due time he stepped up and presented his Frontier.

  As far as musical compatibility goes, Andy aligns with ourselves as well as anybody we know. His depth of knowledge in terms of the deeper shades of house and Techno is second to none. A long time collector and even longer time raver, he has spent years really refining his tastes and it shows across all of his musical output. Everything he touches turns to Green (GOLD). He has a huge variety of mixes and videos on his socials  but all of them are done with a touch of class. Nothing ever feels hurried out of place, instead his contributions to this scene of ours and measured and well thought out.

  In terms of his label - Verdant, again it’s a classy affair. From the first release back in 2016, through to the most recent, every EP is packed with musical goodness. Very much a case of all killer no filler. Combined with constantly interesting and evolving Artworks, it’s a match made in heaven.   

As for this submission to the Frontier, Andy once again produces the goods. Just over two hours of all realms of deepness, touching on house techno and every obscurity in-between.   

We are blessed to be able to call Andy our friend and thank him for all of our collaborations over the years, here’s to many more.

grad_u (Aleksandr Martinkevič) is a Vilnius-based DJ, producer, and label owner, widely recognized as one of the key figures in the modern deep and dub techno scene. Active for over two decades, he has shaped a career that bridges multiple roles — from local DJ to international tastemaker — while maintaining a distinctive and coherent sonic identity.
Originally rooted in d’n’b, his artistic direction shifted after hearing Fluxion’s Prospect II, a transformative moment that steered him toward the immersive depths of dub techno. Since then, his sound — suspended between natural landscapes and urban geometries — has evolved through the use of analog textures, tape recording, and a painterly approach to production.

In 2012, he founded Redscale, his first vinyl-only label, created to host his own work and soon acclaimed worldwide. Yet it was with the launch of Greyscale that grad_u expanded his vision into a fully realized curatorial project. With more than 80 releases and contributions from artists across six continents, Greyscale’s Mood Series has become one of the genre’s most respected and enduring catalogues — a global meeting point for established and emerging producers alike.

Its time for another Quadrasphere and once again, its another very special one. We are extremely blessed to welcome Cousin Silas to our series, and he does not disappoint. He has carefully crafted a mix of all his own material, including some edits made exclusively for us and his mix. Cousin Silas has been producing music, both electronically and acoustically for a very long time, and he also is one of the biggest champions of other producers, inspiring many collaborations and projects, primarily through his Cousin Silas Emporium. His music is a regular feature during the ambient intro's to our Dub Exploration shows, and its clear to see why. We thank him again for his time and wonderful mix. Please check his work here:

"Not sure if some of the edits could indeed be classed as exclusives, in truth they have been created just for this mix, so??? A Sprig Of Rowen, Anemoa 2-1, and Emporium Drone 018 haven't been released yet, so depending on when this mix sees the light of day, that may well have changed, but as of creating this, it's true that they are unreleased!
The times are as close as dammit, have to be honest I've never been able to work out how to do time stamps, but like I say, the times in the list above are close.

Madloch's 3rd Avenue presents the second installment of remixes for Jares – Sam's Voyage, Pt. 4, continuing the story of one of the label's most personal and heartfelt releases. Following the first remix edition featuring Cary Crank and Gone Deville, this new chapter invites two returning artists to reinterpret Jares' touching tribute to his late brother.

The first remix comes from Taylan, a US producer who made his 3rd Avenue debut earlier this year with a rework for Kirwan & Lucas Ramos. Known for his deep, melodic sound and releases on labels such as Sunexplosion, Univack, Mango Alley, and MNL, Taylan delivers a graceful and emotionally rich interpretation.

The EP is completed by Raul Suarez, an Argentinian artist based in the mountain city of Bariloche, who returns to the label after contributing three remixes over the past two years. His version brings a warm, textured approach, blending organic depth with subtle progressive energy. Together, these two reinterpretations offer a fitting continuation of the Sam's Voyage, Pt. 4 story, enriching its emotional landscape while keeping the spirit of the original intact.

Copenhagen mainstay & Echocord label boss Kenneth Christiansen joins the lempuyang mix series by invitation. 

Kenneth started Echocord in 2001, which quickly became a label I kept a close eye on. Now approaching it's 25th anniversary & 100th release on its primary imprint; and with the likes of Mathimidori, Sven Weisemann, Babe Roots, and the superb latest release from Mike Schommer, Kenneth shows no signs of easing on the quality control.
