"I Believe in Father Christmas" is a song by English musician Greg Lake with lyrics by Peter Sinfield. Although it is often categorized as an antireligious song, this was not Lake's intention. He said that he wrote the song in protest at the commercialization of Christmas. Sinfield, however, said that the words are about a loss of innocence and childhood belief. Released as Lake's debut solo single in 1975, the song reached number 2 on the UK Singles Chart, number 17 on the Irish Singles Chart  and number 98 in Australia". Another Year

Dear friends - sorry, but it's me again! I'm 75 years old now, but in about 20-30 years I wish I could sit on my terrace with a blanket around my legs and listen to heavenly choir singing!
The picture is from where I live nowadays. 

Songs For the Old

They saw the light from the kids dressed in white
and they listened to the songs by the young folks
they were moved to tears, the songs were so nice
They recall all the days when they - 
were very young and also sang these songs
They love to listen to these old songs

They can sit so quiet in their garden
with a blanket around their hips and legs
and just listen to the choir when they sing their songs
it’s a charity for all the old -
who have lived their lives - and also sang these songs
when they were young and their voices were bright

At the end of the day when darkness falls
it’s so amazing to see all the candle lights
which are carried by the procession of young boys and girls
and the atmosphere is emotional and warm
and all the old - feel well this lovely night
when Christmas is approaching us

I have enjoyed music for as long as I can remember and cannot remember a day of not either singing or listening to music. I am self-taught when it comes to playing guitar but what I most enjoy is singing which I have been doing since around age 18. Now retired singing and playing the guitar is now just a hobby and something I do to help pass the time. Have always  loved the sound of a Martin guitar. Currently been playing a Road Series DR S2 for about 6 years. Thanks for listening. I also enjoy discovering the sounds of other talented musicians and singers here on SoundCloud.
