The mastering sounds great. There is still a tiny bit of boxy room sound on the actual guitar part, but overall real nice!

Quite a resume!  Wolf Marshall, Les Wise, Gary Burton, Pat Martino.  Great.

Diana Krall's arrangement of the tune. Produced by Verve Music Group Chairman David Foster, is spare and somber as she reduces the familiar, harmony-stacked melody to a simple vocal line lightly brushed with piano and rich swells of strings. The pace picks up on the second verse with a smooth bassline and electronic rhythm track that tilts toward bossa nova. There are also distant, hazy backing vocals from Graham Nash. This is my version replacing Diana Krall's vocals with the sound of jazz guitar.

While pursuing my doctorate in education I was studying with the famous guitarist/author Wolf Marshall. I became interested in the work of Pat Martino, specifically his improvisations on jazz standards. Pat and I have become friends over the years and I have, with the help from several other people, begun producing a book of transcriptions of Pat Martino’s improvisations on jazz standards that I hope to someday publish.
