Dream Hack is a new side project from the Sheffield based producer Randolph & Mortimer. A new alias created as a tribute to the electronic dance music of the mid 90s, a period in time when a new style of underground dance music was pushing through with bands like Underworld, Fluke, Drum Club and Eat Static leading the charge. These artists were blending everything from Techno to Trance, Acid to Ambient vibes and that’s what this new alias is all about, just having fun experimenting and mixing up the genres
The idea behind White Heat / Acid City was to create a piece of work that felt like a live show, constantly shifting between styles and vibes, tempos and instrumentation. Comprised of three tracks this release is very much inspired by the old skool ethos of writing long, evolving tracks. Whilst the influences are very much a nod back to a classic time in the beginnings of dance music there are still modern twists in it’s creation to keep it feeling fresh. Switching between Techno, Ambient, Trance and Dub influences, it’s dance music but created by a producer whose musical DNA is as much based in hardcore and alternative guitar music as it is electronic music so it’s about songs as well dancelfoor weapons. An album that works being listened to in a darkened room or driving around cities late at night as much as it works in the clubs.
It’s time to jack in.

PREMIERE : Stylic - Egregor (Original Mix)

SLF IMG is the new Italian synth punk sex wave duo from Umberto Cavalloni and Giacomo Stefani. Co-produced and mixed by Luca Venezia (Curses), their debut EP evokes a romantic 80’s Balearic energy fueled by a dark and driving force of early EBM and proto-funk electro acid.

The obvious influence of early pioneers like, DAF and Nitzer Ebb shines through in a new, more stripped back twisted-pop, tongue-in cheek irony and graceful approach. These are songs for the late night adventures frolicking in the hours past midnight in the strobe lights and misty haze of smoke machines. Something nostalgic yet new with the sound on their debut EP. Catchy hooks but sinister basslines and synths. With a live tour in the works for 2025, SLF IMG are a promising new duo to keep an eye out for. This may be their first EP, but it definitely won’t be their last. SLF IMG are built to last.

The original track’s philosophical concept remains central, with a reverberated voice guiding us from the “Matrix.” The artwork, by Riccardo Alescio (Parasex), draws from his paintings on the same theme. This remix blends electronic music, philosophy, and art, using the track as a way to explore human potential and paths for self-improvement. Inspired by Vadim Zeland’s ideas on reality creation and personal growth, we’re excited to share this material on underground dance floors worldwide as both a privilege and a mission.

Making their debut on Eskimo Recordings this March, Berlin producers Franz Matthews & Local Suicide’s ‘Meditation / Tutan Jamon' was a heady brew of psychedelic disco that joined the dots between the German capital and the sun soaked souks of North Africa. 

Hailed as “propulsive and zen” by Resident Advisor and championed by DJs including Dj T, Red Axes, Perel & Acid Washed, the tracks have now been giving a fresh rub, with Eskimo going one better even than the genie from the Arabian Nights and fulfilling 4 wishes summoning up remixes from Manfredas, Chaim, NTEIBINT and The Oddness.

First out of the trap is Lithuanian producer Manfredas. Having made a name for himself with releases on labels like Les Disques de la Mort, Multi Culti and I’m A Cliché, Manfredas turns in a head spinning remix of Tutan Jamon, teasing out and extending the track in a masterclass of delayed gratification that eventually dissolves into acidic bleeps and drones. https://soundcloud.com/manfredas

Tel Aviv’s Chaim remix of Tutan Jamon meanwhile sees the sometime Bpitch Control and Disco Halal producer up the tempo whilst losing none of the original’s exotic vibe. In his hands the track becomes a propulsive and trippy disco number perfect for late summer parties under the stars.

Eskimo stalwart NTEIBINT is up next with his reinterpretation of Meditation. Once again the Greek producer goes to show just why the label has him on speed dial, delivering a stunning remix with Vamparela’s vocals and a hypnotic bass line combining to mesmerising effect.

Finally fresh from remixing Satin Jackets Australian rising star The Oddness returns to Eskimo with his own spaced out take on Meditation. Keeping the tempo slow and low the Melbourne producer unravels the track, pulling apart its constituent parts and allowing them all to float free.

The 44th Chapter in this story sees the release of JOBE’s "My Regrets", featuring the haunting vocals of Haptic and a big Edition from label bosses VVerses. As ever with JOBE, the EP is a powerful combination of darkness, melody and heft. Title track "My Regrets" is true to form, built on a chunky, driving groove that opens into an expansive and euphoric vocal-led peak in which Haptic takes the lead, giving a performance that is typically haunting and emotional. The Dub Edition, meanwhile, offers a useful counterpoint that smooths out the highs of the original. Up next, the "VVerses Lessons Learned Edition" is a blissful combination of new wave-influenced broken beat, delayed basslines and dripping acid. Haptic’s vocal, transformed into an impersonal and heavily vocodered robotic presence, holds the track together as it culminates into choppy ravey chords that channel a Balearic feel. Final track "Luma" is an ominous afro tech roller, big dusty drums encasing a central arp that ups the ante and is bound to make the dancefloor bounce. Interweaving synths relentlessly build the tension to a crescendo.

We welcome to the Moustache Records family the oldskool electro legend Martin Matiske with his Electronic disco-ish 12 inch EP release "Robotic Theatre" This is a future vision of a theatre run by robots and is the era in which machines entertain mankind. Operas are written and played in a mechanical way. The pieces of "Robotic Theatre" deal with different terms of stage work. Track A1 is called "Acting Faces" and Refers to the rehearsing of the role, as well as the interaction of the actors on stage. The well-being of the actor does not often match what is played. He has to play even If it's painful. B2 is the track called "Machinery" Human beings are machines that build machines today. The advantage is perfection and time saving. Robots as actors are reliable and precise. B1 listen to the name "Transistor Dances"its Like The Hungarian Dances by Johannes Brahms you just need a dance to express happiness and remind your culture. Dances bring people together. A robotic dance should not be missing in a play. The last track of the EP is the tune "Practise" a story about a robot the has to practise to achieve perfection and it is fun." Martin Matiske - Acting Faces [Moustache Records 044]

@danielmonaco has had a slew of impressive releases and what a better way to kick off Roam Recordings 2021 than by teaming up with compatriots Sauvage World to deliver Paninari on Acid. The title track delivers on the acid promise in a rugged yet smooth psychedelic grinder. The second original Tenerè brings the tempo down for a mysterious low slung expedition. The EP comes with two excellent remixes by Niv Ast and Fabrizio Mammarella. Niv Ast brings an acid house nostalgia with a driving rendition of the title track and Fabrizio Mammarella reworks Tenerè into electro acid territory. All together… a great start to the year.
