He delivers on the imprint, always with precision and perfection, two original tracks made for dancing.

“Ich Geh Nicht Mit Dir” is a stunning, intoxicating title, which could lead the crowd to a certain alienation. The metronomic groove of the song is carried by swirling vocals and pads, an almost horrifying atmosphere of a manhunt !

The second original piece “Running through Fiction” is definitively a pure dancefloor track ! The manhunt goes to the next level, danger is everywhere and the only way out is certainly the dancefloor ! The dance steps follow one after the other, the sneakers smoke, the bodies sweat, welcome in the secret playground !

Welcome to the talented Jason Core on the imprint. The spanish producer gives to the eponym track a more Italo way, giving extra energy. And when the acid wave breaks, it’s crazy !

To close the wonderful release, Jakob Mäder is back with a pretty housy remix of the second original track. And when the piano is added to the rhythm, a kind of melancholy accompanies the hearts. Or maybe it’s joy ?

Dive into Mystery Kid’s universe with this album released to celebrate her first year as a producer. For this first opus, she wants to collaborate and praise some of her talented friends that she met during her journey. Again and again Florian Herzberg – the mastermind behind My Secret Playground – is drawn to his hometown Vienna. A city full of old glory and vanity, a spirit of optimism and standstill in the same way. On his releases the now Berlin-based producer combines these peculiarities in Electro and modern sounding 80s tracks. Rolling aggressive beats are replaced by broad synths and strings. Pounding kick drums paired with nostalgic vocal lines and vocoders make the leap into the 21st century and give My Secret Playgrounds an own contemporary Indie Dance sound.

PREMIERE :  My Secret Playground - Don't Panic

Reemerging in 2017 with four new tracks, Son Lux’s new EP 'Remedy' is the ferocious trio’s response to an ever-encroaching reality of social and political upheaval. Reflective but defiant, Ryan Lott, Ian Chang, and Rafiq Bhatia synthesize their signature unpredictable experimentation into an explosive examination of what it means to live, to create, and to resist in America today. These songs were born the week of the 2016 election, and they capture a band both mournful and refusing to accept the new normal. "How does it feel, to be your own deceiver," Lott whispers in our ears, just ahead of the steady approach of swarming, mechanized woodwinds and rising torrents of noise. "I watch you fall, hollow and depleted. A city razed/raised, to bury you beneath it.”

The EP's final statement is a plea, sung in unison with a crowd-sourced choir of more than 300 people. "Find your voice, in the sea of surging bodies and breath, to form a melody, to find a remedy."

In that spirit, Son Lux will donate all proceeds of the sales of 'Remedy' to the Southern Poverty Law Center, a non-profit organization dedicated to fighting hate and bigotry and to seeking justice for the most vulnerable members of American society.
