Capturing that magical sweet spot between day and night, sun and moon, dreams and reality, Italian groove maestro Amarcord makes his debut on Damon Jee’s Dust & Blood with ‘The Blue Hour Club’…

A vibrant flip on his last track ‘Spleen’ on Eskimo earlier this summer (a 105BPM alt-pop Kraftwerk homage), here we find Amarcord in much more uplifted, energetic yet still contemplative mood. Sitting somewhere between new romantic and synth wave, Amarcord creates the perfect bed for E.S.O’s heartfelt vocals as we creep closer and closer to sunrise. 

Remix-wise Greek darksmith Echonomist twists the light to create great shadows amid E.S.O’s vocals before Amarcord lays down two more floor-focused originals. ‘Ritrovare Un Tempo’ makes time for everyone with its ploughman bassline and humanised vocals while Titoli Di Coda cashes in our last credits with smouldering, downtempo cosmic finale… Just in time for the sunrise. He delivers an epic Melodic House tune driven by a strong arpeggiated Moog lead, spacey organ pads, crisp percussions & shimmering drones.

First remix comes from Tunisian rising talent Samer Soltan. He takes things to a more hypnotic groove while building tension to the break that will send the dancefloor to ecstasy.

The release is completed by a fantastic remix from the enigmatic Quattrovalvole who is taking us on a trip to the Indie side of the galaxy by adding some breaky drums & a touch of cosmic synths.
