a strange look

NIDA is the little village in a beautifull lithuanian seaside and also the name of our second single. Magical place with exeptional aura that you find in a a very few places in the world - the dream for every artist looking for inspiration, including us. 
From sunrise to sunset the nature offers you countless adventures, wild animals leaves you in awe, while the views gives you the feeling of expansion & endlessness. 
NIDA is a special track for us - it's a first track which Josef sings in hebrew. It comes with instrumental version for the extra tribal DJing fun.

NIDA

One beautifull summer day i wanted to explore lithuanian music and bought few vinyls in the local record shop in Vilnius. One of them was "Sodų Dainos" by LUKAS PILKAUSKAS. I instantly fell in love with his warm yet powerfull track LOPŠINĖ - such a nice lyrics about Nida, sea and following your dreams! 

I really wanted to include it to my DJ sets and made a few adjustments so the track would work even more powerfull on the dancefloor. And here is my result - ŠOKIO LOPŠINĖ. 

For true vinyl lovers i cut few 12 inches of this lovely edit. 
Handstamped & limited to 11 pieces.

"Allez les presales! Everybody’s favourite Parisian party fiends are back, polishing up another batch of patchy pound bin finds and not-on-Discogs delights for your next summer soirée. Putting their orange-eagle eyes to good use, the LYO crew have trawled the crates of Europe and beyond for this sunkissed set, working the scalpel to the max to pack the dancefloor in arms aloft ecstasy. 

Our party starts with the kwaito groove of “Avidio””, a killer bit of late 80’s Afro-action boasting synth marimba, alien bass blasts and life affirming vocal chants. Not only is this cut moving in the ants-in-your-pants/dancing-like-a-madman sense, but its Sting-on-safari emotion and clarinet solo could bring a tear to a glass eye.

Cartwheeling between aspirational jazz-funk and afro-cosmic, ‘Yanga Mbiwaa’ makes its way to the heart of the party like a bewildered Parisian at an Ivorian wedding. As tumbling toms rumble like thunder on the Serengeti, an oddball exotica chant encourages the nearby wildlife to shake a tail-feather to the Club Tropicana guitars and buzzing synthbass. 

At last you have something to keep Quantum Jump’s ‘Lone Ranger’ company! Last but not least comes ‘Autoradio’, a very well mannered monsieur living the French highlife by the sea and sun of the Mediterranean coast. Effervescent Afrobeat guitars and swooning sax dance over a rolling rhythm section of buoyant bass and 80s percussion, while a spoken vocal drawls in your direction and the girls ask if you’re ok. It’s only when the pinging, ringing, madly modulated bass breakdown bounds through your surroundings that you’ll wonder who slipped what in your drink…"

Sinchi x Hard Fist

To celebrate their first digital compilation, we partnered with Lyon label @HardFist on a 9 hours long virtual journey across 12 countries with the help of 16 other media channels. Transcending the borders and musical genres,  9 out of the 12 artists from the compilation took over the booth.  From Germany, Argentina, Israel to UK and France.

Berlin based Greek artist @FringeSociety demonstrates his talent live by playing various instruments. His skills as a musician have landed him releases on Slow Motion sister Label Wrong Era, Nein Records and Hard Fist.

Free Shelter is a collective and label, hailing from the cold breezes of Helsinki, Finland. Their main goal is to find, play and share obscure music from the deep beyond. Whether it be feel-good disco from the jungles around the world, rolling trancey bass lines or pumping house from the east coast of the US, it doesn’t matter. With several edits and own productions released on their own imprint under their belt, and support from world known DJs, they aren’t slowing down just yet. Their Serenades Podcast features some of their newest findings, with a little bit of everything put into it.

After playing in the city many times and hosted a legendary party at Opium Club, the relationship between Calypso and Vilnius is quite strong. This is why they invited local talent Plot Pilot to share a release with label boss Thomass Jackson for the next "Correcciones". 
The A side is Jackson's time to deliver his two edits. First one is a bongo driven, afro robotic vocals, breakish trance extravaganza. While the second one goes straight for the chin with it's vocals who comand you to work work work ! 
The lithuanian boys deliver a cosmic track full of psychedelic guitars and bleepy noises on their first one and for the second one, and the one we are premiering here, they pay tribute to the lithuanian seaside where every summer the famous Ant Bangos festival takes place.
