J.M.F is a joint venture consisting of Dresdens Jacob Korn and Leipzigs Good Guy Mikesh & Filburt with both of them throwing in their special secret powers: the analog house feeling and the big bass drum from Jacob and the great melodies and a certain fluffiness from Mikesh and Filburt. Together they howled with the coyotes deep down in the notorious uncanny valley and created two sparkling tracks Philip Dolphia check out the bossy flute and At The Ranch. Lauer (from Artwo Mwambe and Tuff City Kids fame, who just released his ace debut album on Running Back) took a big sip of firewater for his remix and scalps At The Ranch into a raw romantic tearjerker, Elektro meets Rimini Style.

Reims based imprint Partyfine is headed up French super talent Yuksek and was established in 2013. The label takes a hands-on approach with its releases recording, mixing, mastering, and distributing, all under one roof. Partyfine is not bound by genre and was designed to showcase Yuksek’s diverse musical palette. Next up on the label Jimena Angel makes a second appearance with the first single from her full-length album that is set to drop in the fall.
 
Colombian artist, Jimena Angel, is a singer, producer, guitarist, and DJ from Bogotá with a talent for producing a very unique sound; a touch of Bullerengue and new Latin electronica coupled with a talent for writing catchy Colombian songs. Since 2007 Jimena has been developing her solo career releasing three albums, multiple singles and has been nominated for a Latin Grammy. With countless tours and festival appearances, she recently played a live performance atGlastonbury, Roskilde, Foreztival and Guts Presents Around Pura Vida.
 
‘Telepatia’ is a song about falling in love. That stage of romance where the obsessive fascination for each other goes deep, and the connection is so strong that there is a telepathic language between you. The music was inspired by the African ‘Highlife’ that Jimena so loves, but maybe because she’s Colombian, it went a little bit deeper to the side of Colombian Champeta and one or two other Colombian pop ingredients that are already present in her DNA. The original gets treated to a remix by Batida. Coming from the thriving Lisbon scene, Batida (Pedro Coquenão) sprinkles the frenetic Kuduro with infernal digital beats, and the rhythmic Semba de Luanda with electro rhythms.

Berlin-Hamburg duo Session Victim return to the ever-reliable Delusions Of Grandeur imprint with Chapter Two of their Sidequests trilogy, marking yet another high point in their almost twenty year journey through heartfelt, sample-rich music.  Overflowing with analog warmth, sun-drenched textures and irresistible grooves, the release also features a stellar remix from label co-founder and deep house pioneer Jimpster who kicks off the EP.

Here he takes Behind The Glass into spaced out house-not-house territory.  With crisp drum programming, trademark Rhodes, and subtle pads that build over time, his version delivers that late-night sophistication he's known for—steering the downtempo original in a clubbier direction without losing its blissed-out essence.

Up next we have a brand new collaborative effort with long time friend, label mate and fellow sample nerd Nebraska. Make It Happen is a dusty, slo-mo house groove featuring delicate keys, euphoric strings and that unmistakable sense of journey.  It’s just the kind of low-slung epic house they do best—intimate yet club-ready, nostalgic but never retro.

Flipping over, Too Soft To Be Loud, another collaboration with Viken Arman, follows with a jazzy, almost samba-esque rhythm and swirling atmospherics.  Loose percussion, catchy guitar riffs and Rhodes stabs collide with off-kilter dub FX and soft vocal snippets giving the track a laid-back, live-band feel that harks back to their See You When You Get There era.

Hubcap Candy dives deep into funk territory.  Nebraska’s on point boogie bassline drives the track forward as crunchy drums and layers of synths create a dreamlike haze. It’s loopy, moody, and finds Session Victim at their very best.

Closing out the EP we have the original of Behind The Glass, a headsy, beatdown piece that slowly unfolds over an unconventional brass-like bassline and delicate guitar textures, paying homage to the golden age of Trip Hop haziness and it’s pioneer turntable spirit.

Blending crate-digging sensibilities with forward-thinking production, this latest release solidifies Session Victim’s reputation as genre-blurring tastemakers, and their chemistry with Delusions Of Grandeur remains as strong as ever.

Blaschko Alley open their account with a patient, low-slung statement. “I Died In Vegas” moves like a train, drum machines locked, bassline glued, synthwork smearing the edges. “Near Death Experience” turns the screw with a dub-heavy guitars and a half-time groove that feels built for red lights and smoke.

“Falls” is the EP’s release valve, a slow, woozy sway with a driving energy and steadily rising arpeggio. “Fallen Angels” closes the circle, stitching post-punk texture to indie-dance momentum for a track that never hurries yet never lets go.

Sitting comfortably between 90 and 115 BPM, BLSK001 channels the late-night gravity of Andrew Weatherall and the spacious heft of classic Leftfield. It is music that rewards DJs who trust the long blend.

People of the Light mark their second all-female-produced release with SuperJaimie’s "You in My Dreams", a snappy vocal cut that trades in atmosphere over spectacle. The original moves on clean percussion and hushed chords, letting a soft-focus vocal carry the emotion without crowding the mix.

Jay Hill keeps the intimacy intact while nudging the drums forward for more club certainty whilst keeping the vibe strong. Meanwhile Subjacent takes a different route, streamlining into deep, driving Techno drums with a tougher low end and fewer adornments, then pares it back further on the Dub by removing the vocal for tool-room utility. An Instrumental rounds out the release for DJs who prefer the mood without the vocal.

It’s a versatile package that works from warm-up to late hours, quietly confident and continuing People of The Lights track record of bringing together some incredible artists at the top of their game.

For his first EP, What I Need, Blanc Soleil delivers a personal and already very assertive vision of his sound identity. Composed in Brest, the project draws on his recent emotions and the energy of the UK clubs that have left their mark on him. The four tracks explore broken techno with jungle accents, where percussive textures intersect with melodic pads and dance sounds. Between raw energy and attention to detail, Blanc Soleil lays the foundations for a hybrid and expressive signature, somewhere between rave intensity and club emotion.The project is also revisited through three distinct remixes, each bringing a different state of mind: a UKG-infused version by the Australian producer Wax Thief, a high-energy closing banger signed by Noge, and a more electro-driven interpretation from J.Strongrock.

The idea was to create a track that reflects who I am and is also a little more mainstream, with the aim of making this first EP accessible to as many people as possible. It has a Mall Grab-style dance vibe, which means the track can be played both outdoors and in the middle of the evening.”

Blanc Soleil - Tell Me Love Is Real

Modern funk star XL Middleton has been leading the way in the genre for over a decade now with his MoFunk imprint and he is a longtime collaborator with both Soul Clap and FSQ. This 3-track EP is the result of a studio collaboration between XL Middleton, MoFunk’s leading lady Moniquea, Soul Clap’s Charles Levine and FSQ’s Chuck Da Fonk at Empire Studios in San Francisco. 

‘Brand New’ is a house anthem featuring Moniquea’s inspirational vocal, XL Middleton’s bright piano chords and wailing synth solo. The song is underpinned by Soul Clap’s devotion to house music’s gospel roots and New York and New Jersey swinging drums. ‘Feeling Wide’ taps into FSQ’s ‘80s new wave style with Moniquea’s layered, punk-funk vocals evoking New York City downtown disco. While the fast paced ‘Brand New’ is meant to uplift, ‘Feeling Wide’ is a syncopated song about self-depreciation. 

Charles Levine’s remix of ‘Red Light’ closes out the set with an ode to California car culture. It’s a Chicago booty house inspired take with Charles’ knocking drums set against XL’s sinister high frequency G-Funk synth lines. This one is a monster that set the Movement Detroit 2025 festival on fire.

"I’m going to try not to gush too much about the fact that ‘Me Me Me’ has Raj Pannu’s first ever record, but you have to understand that he’s DJ royalty to someone from where I come from.
From his residencies in Newcastle in the Early 90s, touring all over Europe, playing with the likes of Gilles Peterson, Jazzanova and James Lavelle to his move into turntablism in the late 90s playing one on one with DJ Craze, A-Trak and Q-Bert.
All the way up to the last decade and his time spent touring the world for 5 years as part of Coldcut, working with institutions like the BBC and Ninja Tune, and just generally being an absolutely mind bending DJ playing with people from all over the spectrum, such as Richie Hawtin, DJ Kentaro, Jamie Lidell, Kode9 and more.
... and now he’s decided to release his first record... With Us !
As you can imagine for someone with such a varied musical background, FSOP is hard to pin down. I played it to a friend and they said it sounded like Photek covering Pink Floyd, which is the closest approximation I’ve heard of it, I guess. It’s techno, but steppy, and super musical, and dark, but uplifting. Above all, it’s just really special. I couldn’t not give the record a full side to itself, and for the remix we’ve found the perfect pairing with an interpretation from Cosmin TRG (who I met at a festival, and who I instantly hit it off with after finding our shared love of Guiness and Sarcasm).
Cosmin chokes out all of the light with a cut of raw, skittering Paranoid Techno. Providing the ideal balance for both sides of the record. Raj has also provided us with a Dub Mix which we’re releasing as a digital exclusive. The dub narrows the dancefloor focus, without losing the drama of the OG. Reading this, you can probably tell how excited I am about this record."
