Berlin-based DJ and producer Less Distress debuts on our mix series, bringing with her an hour of galloping rhythms, psychedelic atmospheres and dreamy melodies with a metallic edge. Synthetik Sounds Unveils Star-Studded Compilation to Support LA Fire Relief Efforts

Los Angeles techno label Synthetik Sounds is proud to announce the release of a powerful 39-track Various Artists compilation featuring an extraordinary lineup of global techno talent. In a time of urgent need, 100% of proceeds from the compilation will be donated to LA Fire Relief Funds, supporting communities affected by the devastating wildfires that created havoc in the Los Angeles area in January 2025.

In January 2025, the Palisades and Eaton wildfires in Los Angeles County burned over 37,000 acres, destroyed more than 16,000 structures, caused at least 29 fatalities, and led to the evacuation of over 200,000 residents, affecting many in the underground techno and house community in our city.

When we asked artists to contribute to a V/A release to help our community, we found ourselves overwhelmed by the amount of support we received.

This monumental release unites over 40 cutting-edge artists, all contributing their signature sounds to this meaningful cause. From techno veterans to rising stars, the compilation is a showcase of boundary-pushing artistry and the unity of the electronic music community.

Our third *FLINTA-focused compilation, TM8 VA003, lands on 31.03. We've invited five artists to contribute their multi-layered sounds to form the compilation, reflecting our platform's musicality and core values.

On this V/A, artists Vel, Less Distress, nuir, Stina Francina, and Sue Lèwig come into their own, sharing the rhythms and textures that echo their artistic prowess and versatility, culminating in a dynamic and richly diverse compilation. 

Opening the compilation on a rumbling note, laced with rippling basslines and psychedelic patterns, Mama Told Ya affiliate Less Distress contributes the earworm 'Sensory Overload'; the hint is in the name.
