The sounds of Norway are back with us as Karl Fraunhofer (now going under Karl F) drops an E.P. of insane sounds...if you was after something that ticks the 'acid house-warehouse rave-arcade machine soundtrack' boxes then this is the E.P. you've been looking for.

Title track Altered Beats is one of the most unique things we've ever heard, pumping, broken beat, acid rave style vibes leads into a monster chug drop with insane synth work throughout.

Future Express retains the uniqueness and goes straight in for the italo/cosmic vibe with a stunning breakdown that is straight out of Streets Of Rage but with added whallop & thud...this has got to be heard to be believed.

Timothy Clerking teams up with Massey to deliver a warp factor peak time acid slammer rework of Altered Beats whilst Karl's fellow country men Rolf Royce & Oddvar Bråk tackle Future Express and drizzle it in that cool unique Norwegian charm with the result being an almost hi-nrg Norwegian Disco makeover...mega!

Muy Muy’s third release continues exploring Mexico City’s incredibly deep pool of talent, with an EP of slow burning, melodic techno from a staple of the scene: Mijo. 
A frequent collaborator with Rodion, Rex the Dog, Bryan Kessler and Sascha Funke, to name a few, he has an impressive discography under his belt for such a young artist.
Coming from a traditional musical background, this solo EP is a departure from Mijo’s club tracks that he has become widely known for, offering a darker and more subtle approach from this multi-faceted artist. Another EP for the times, these slow burning tracks are heavy on textures and melancholic memories of the long after parties that sometimes stretched for days in the hectic, chaotic, yet eternally beautiful capital that Mexico City is.
Our choice was ’Batucada’ - collaboration with chilean artist Persona, almost 7 min techno thriller, excellent weapon for 4am mindblowing peak hour dropping.

If there's anything to make this joyless summer brighter then surely it's a new Afterlife release. One man Balearic machine Steve Miller does it again with the Summer Of Love EP; four cuts steeped in accomplished musicianship ranging from jazzy soulful touches to moodier, bluesey affairs. Here we feature 'Fou', a smoky, skankin' little number with playful congas to offset it's edgier synths.  Sunnier climes might be out of reach for many of us this year, but all you really have to do is let Afterlife take you there.

“(…) ALFOS pilot, Sean Johnston, has a ton of music to about to land. The most balearic of which is an E.P. for Le Temps Perdu. Released under the moniker A Mountain Of Rimowa** the record packages 4 originals, plus a remix by the NYC team of Justin Strauss and Max Pask. Each of the tracks bears a recognizable sample, or recreation there of, spanning the genres of soul, post-punk, and house. But these aren’t edits, or even “radical reinterpretations”. More affectionate nods. Since the borrowed bits aren’t core to the tunes. They aren’t the hooks. More an anchor, a leaping-off point. Sometimes only really evident in the intros and outros. Perhaps deliberately acknowledging the past while reaching for, and returning from, the future. No More takes a line from a soulful chart hit and kinda uses its sentiment – of love and understanding, an end to all wars – as its stance. Re-contextualizing these Shoom favourites in a purely electronic setting. Raining down racing arpeggios and anthem-ic piano. The production betraying its author`s love of Italo and synth pop. Joker replays a section of treated post-punk guitar / ambient isolationist dub. Using it to build a buzzing forceful throb around a skipping motorik rhythm, bleeps and a New Order-esque b-line. Brothers And Sisters In The West on the other hand bases its bass riff on that of an instantly recognizable 80s house classic. The new beat / EBM-flavoured Brothers And Sisters In The East is punk funk, whose bottom-end is hulking, muscular, Paul Simonon-like, while its guitars chop and change between tense and nervous Psycho Killer strum, and angular Mick Jones London Calling shapes. The beat like a machined Barkays` break. Pounding, but not pulverizing. Its echoed rimshots eventually escalating into an intense saber rattle.

**A Mountain Of Rimowa is a reference to the life of the “jetset” DJ, and high-end luggage. It is not – as I imagined – some occult Lovecraftian location. Then again, maybe it is.”

Dan Orbach has been active as a DJ in Tel-Aviv for the past decade.
Recently started his own label called Phlex Recs,
which features music from Tel-Aviv based producers including his own projects Danya and DJ Gear.

This is his new EP release on Phlex Recs. (Tel-Aviv) under the project, Danya.
The EP contains 2 Tracks, recorded mostly from analog, out of the box, hardware instruments.
All in the sound realm between 80’s synth wave and Italo-house.

Dreg 1 - Kind of a banger. Lead line is epic. Heavy snare drums with some 80’s gated reverb.

Following on from a couple of releases earlier this year Claptrap are back with Vanity Project’s new release ‘Big Pharma’. Vanity Project has been managing Claptrap with his partner in crime Dr Valentines since their first 12" release in 2017 and dropped his first full release, a self titled EP in 2018. Since then he’s been DJing & performing live shows around the UK and has most recently dropped the City Elastic EP on London’s Midnight People.
Big Pharma features four spaced out original house cuts ready for the dance floor.
Our choice here was A2  title track which brings a hint of acid alongside a deeper thumping house groove.
