Ria Mares is a DJ and sound producer who crafts deep, immersive audio journeys in the Hypnotic Techno genre. Her signature sound blends high-tech synthesis with a natural aesthetic. Inspired by ethnic motifs, organic tones, and a dark, enveloping atmosphere, she creates a sonic space where organic and technological worlds converge, forming a path where each listener can discover something unique.

The storyline of the mix:
This musical journey begins in the desert — silent and boundless, where nothing exists but sand, mirages, and our cozy shelter from which we can observe the vast beauty of the landscape.

Gradually, we move closer to thick vegetation and wild jungles. Here, the rhythms of tribal dances become clearer and more alive. We pause to connect with the earth and absorb the raw energy of the tribe.

Our path then takes us to a highly developed civilization — where beings invent technology, craft advanced devices, and build ships to explore outer space.
On one of those ships, we travel past asteroids, stars, galaxies, and unknown planets...

Eventually, we land on one of them — a planet with its own unique atmosphere. It is bright, warm, and beautiful. As we glide through its landscapes, we remember that very same cozy place from where we once gazed at the desert — at the very beginning of this sonic voyage.

This eighth foray into the otherworld is helmed by another resident of the UK’s North - Sheffield based Meridian.r. Curator of the excellent Cycle podcast - formally an event series bringing some top tier deep techno talent to an intimate warehouse in the Steel City - it is currently a series of mixes that shines a light on the northern adjacent left-field electronics scene.

No stranger to helming the decks himself, having been pushing the deep grooves at the likes of the iconic Groundwork and Magnetic North as well as his own events, we had the fine selections of Meridian.r on showcase at one of our recent monthly gatherings - wandering through a delightful garden of sounds that fit very well with our own tastes here at Portal.

Another entry into the series composed entirely on a pair of 1210s, Meridian.r’s mix weaves from the depths of ambient oceans through dub techno infused breaks and chuggers, the energy building tacitly until equilibrium is found in a heady concoction of hypnotic techno that rides the interplay between drive and groove in style. See you on the other side.

Responsible for a handful exquisite platters on the likes of Dial Records, LARJ, Figures’ sub-division LF RMX and his own imprint, Intergalactic Research Institute for Sound, Georgia-born, Berlin-based sound explorer Irakli lands his new transmission for RYC: a mix giving full vent to his ever innovative and shape-shifting approach to floor narratives. Always going the unsuspected route with no compass to guide us back onto the normative boulevard, Irakli takes us on a bumpy ride across jagged proto-technoid topographies, fractal-like foldings and mind-expanding new horizons of musical possibilities. The result is - as per the man’s high-flying standards, an ode to techno’s core values of innovation and fearlessness, developing the kind of pioneering mindset we miss so much these days. No Signal es un DJ extremeño afincado en Barcelona con más de una década 
de recorrido en la escena electrónica. A lo largo de estos años ha forjado un 
estilo ecléctico y en constante evolución, que le ha llevado a explorar desde los 
paisajes más profundos del deep techno —con publicaciones en sellos como 
Dissident o Node— hasta el pulso vibrante del house y el techno en todas sus 
formas.

 Su trayectoria detrás de los platos le ha permitido hacerse un hueco en clubs 
de referencia como Moog, Macarena y de forma habitual en @Red58, donde
