☉ About Irazu:
Irazu (Madrid, 1989) finds in electronic music a vehicle for self-exploration and sonic expression, a way to uncover his identity and emotions.
His journey in the scene began as a promoter of events in Madrid, but he soon discovered that music production and releasing records were essential outlets to channel his artistic vision. His early works were released on Stale, Kastil’s label, collaborating with artists such as Acronym, Regis, Pessimist, and Kastil himself. In 2018, he released the mini-album Study for Portrait, showcasing his personal take on techno.
Following several releases on labels like Hooded, Artificial Intelligence, and 30drop, as well as producing remixes, Irazu released his EP 140.15 on Stale. However, it was in 2022 when he presented his debut album, Anything Exist Anymore, on Semantica Records. This album delved into melancholic soundscapes while staying rooted in techno and enriched by a broad spectrum of influences.
In 2023, Irazu took a step further with Self-Medicating, his second album released on Warm Up Recordings, Óscar Mulero’s label. This work, the most aggressive and dark in his career to date, marked an evolution into more unsettling and introspective sonic territories.
Irazu’s influences span key regions in the evolution of techno and experimental electronics: from the West Midlands in the UK to the Netherlands, Italy, and Spain. Artists such as Regis, Svreca, Autechre, Donato Dozzy, Óscar Mulero, Luke Slater, and Surgeon have shaped his sound, alongside pioneers of industrial and experimental electronics like Throbbing Gristle, Whitehouse, Einstürzende Neubauten, and Coil.
Irazu’s sound can be described as an intimate space where tension and false tranquility coexist—a constant exploration of new horizons that reflects his relentless artistic pursuit.

Palpebræ Mix 12: Irazu

For our twenty fifth installment we've invited R/D/V also known as Luca Redivo, he is an Amsterdam-based audio engineer and DJ/producer. Known for his inclination to introspective, driving and textural sound, Luca channels his energy into crafting hypnotic techno and ambient music.

As part of his creative journey, R/D/V has recently released music via labels like [R]3volution, TMM and Analog Solutions, while also performing and taping podcasts for renowned organisations such as Tresor, Acquario, and Résilience.

Beyond his artistic contribution, Luca is deeply involved in the technical side of audio. He engineers at multiple studios and live venues, whilst partaking in collaborative projects that push the boundaries of sonic exploration.

Als Gründerin des Focus: Podcast und Mitglied des Nebula-Kollektivs prägt sie eine ästhetische Handschrift, die zwischen trippiger Tiefe, dunkler Energie und minimal-grooviger Leichtigkeit oszilliert. Ihr Anspruch ist es, Sets mit klarer Dramaturgie zu gestalten, die das Publikum auf eine Reise mitnehmen – mit einem roten Faden, der von den ersten bis zu den letzten Klängen durchgezogen ist.

Besondere Aufmerksamkeit erregte ihr legendäres Closing im Tresor, bei dem sie trotz Nervosität und angeschlagener Gesundheit die Nacht bis in den Mittag hinein prägte. Die Intensität dieser Erfahrung und die enge Verbundenheit zu ihrem Umfeld unterstreichen, wie sehr V:SONNTAG Musik nicht nur als Performance, sondern als kollektives Erlebnis versteht.

Ihre „geheime Waffe“ ist die sorgfältige Vorbereitung: Jedes Set wird von ihr akribisch durchdacht, um den Flow bewusst zu formen und die Energie im Raum Schritt für Schritt zu steigern. Dabei kombiniert sie gerne dunkle, hypnotische Klänge mit melodischen Elementen, die im Verlauf für überraschende Wendungen sorgen.

A Leipzig-based DJ, V:SONNTAG has long made a name for herself beyond the borders of her hometown with her hypnotic and focused sound. While deeply connected to the local scene surrounding the now-closed but legendary Institut für Zukunft and Neue Welle, she has also performed at renowned venues such as ://about:blank, Tresor, and Berghain.

As the founder of the Focus: Podcast and a member of the Nebula collective, she shapes an aesthetic signature that oscillates between trippy depth, dark energy, and minimal, groovy lightness. Her ambition is to create sets with a clear dramaturgy that take the audience on a journey – with a red thread running from the very first to the very last sound.

Her legendary Tresor closing gained particular attention, where despite nervousness and feeling unwell, she shaped the night until well into the following day. The intensity of this experience and her close connection to those around her highlight how much V:SONNTAG understands music not only as performance, but as a collective experience.

Her “secret weapon” is meticulous preparation: every set is carefully thought out to deliberately shape the flow and gradually build up the energy in the room. In doing so, she loves to combine dark, hypnotic sounds with melodic elements that create surprising twists along the way.

Fleika grew up during the heyday of Prague’s rave culture, coming of age as a DJ in booths built for a single night only. The Czech techno renaissance shaped him, and the newly born club culture soon embraced him as one of its main protagonists.

Industrial ruins and modernist landmarks marked Fleika’s journey through the blooming nightlife, imbuing his craft with intuition and technical precision. His sets humbly showcase his ability to hijack the mind of a listener. He prefers a quiet dancefloor - no cheers, no chants - just a stomping crowd, locked in their own heads.

As an Ankali resident, he digs anything that kicks, melts, or makes the mind trip, but he thrives most when diving into the vast depths of hypnotic and psychedelic techno - as deep as it gets.

Predawn Records is a beacon for all deep techno lovers out there, and Stuttgart is truly lucky to have them. They've built an incredible community in the South of Germany with their intimate shows, collaborations, artist spotlights, and experimentation. No strangers to us here at Delayed, Predawn is made up of Tama, Nils Edte & Laima Adelaide. Founded in 2021, the label has been a home base for the 3 artists & their musical output. An interesting tidbit you may not know about them is the way they're so deeply rooted in classical music. Marko, Nils and Laima all have a background in the genre which explains the precise yet tactile & delicate nature of the releases on the label.

For TAMA's (Marko Mrdja) latest release, "Arc," he’s carrying the torch for the Predawn sound. A quick look at his page will give you insight into his other projects, including playing the piano for the Soundrise Quartet. Across all his work, Marko's passion and musical learnings shine through, reflecting a commitment to composing, producing, and playing music that simply makes him happy. We all crave different things throughout the day, and across seasons, and Marko’s projects embody that.

Blueish-silver. A gentle pulse, propelled by subtle, distant soundscapes and everyday sounds captured. What they are I’m not sure, but they are certainly comforting and reassuring. The song is smooth—there are no sudden jolts or surprises, just a finely crafted track. Listen to it, then listen to it again, and again, it only gets better, as the details and new sounds reveal themselves with every listen. 

This track and the rest of the EP including a remix from Rambadu will be available to purchase via their Bandcamp page digitally and on vinyl on the 10th October.
