AALEX, also known as House Da Buun, is an electronic music producer, DJ, and remixer based in London. His latest alias, AALEX, marks a focused step into the realms of deep, progressive, and organic house—an evolution shaped by years of exploration across genres, scenes, and sounds. His music blends layered percussion, rolling basslines, and textured melodies influenced by rooftops, city nights, sunsets, and the meditative stillness of Gong Fu tea.

Alex’s journey into electronic music began in the late ’90s. One of his earliest productions, rough and unpolished but still one of his favourites, was made in 1999 after a friend returned from Ibiza with a glitchy psy-chill CD that completely shifted his perspective. That spark stayed alive, and by 2010 he began producing and releasing music professionally, launching a multi-genre career through various aliases including Funduzm, John Nuzzo, Busy Rida, Alex da Rabbit, and as the creator of the label and brand Filthy Rhodes.

Through House Da Buun—a collaborative project originally built with jazz guitarist and sound supervisor Gabriele Palmarin—Alex has explored funk-infused deep house, minimal, and techno, with a body of work spanning dozens of tracks and remixes. The duo also released the funk/deep house album El Ritmo in collaboration with saxophonist Luca Ardini. Parallel to this, the Filthy Rhodes alias allowed him to dive deeper into eclectic grooves and club-focused textures, while behind the scenes he produced a vast catalogue of instrumental beats across hip hop, dancehall, and downtempo.

In recent years, Alex has reconnected with more melodic, emotional, and spiritual forms of dance music. His track Sweet Love, released under House Da Buun, blends Afro Deep and Amapiano rhythms with vocals by Nigerian artist Rutzy Rad and guitar from Gabriele Palmarin, also featuring a remix by Pietro LGF from 45drakes.

Now, under the name AALEX, this next chapter fully embraces organic and progressive sounds—stripped back but rich in emotion, crafted for immersive listening and late-night dance floors.

As a resident DJ of Patchouli Deep, he currently hosts three radio shows: Horizon Grooves, DreamDust, and Deep Diamonds, each focused on different shades of deep and progressive music. His next release is due in July 2025, in collaboration with Horizons, Pietro LGF, and others, alongside remixes of Fernweh, Under My Skin, and Come Find Me (with Alex Fernweh and Avantime).

He will also be performing at Solstice 2025, a collaboration between Patchouli Deep and Organica UK, with upcoming gigs including a show with Undergrowth and a hybrid live set scheduled later this year.

Florin Marica, also known as MARIKA, is a remarkable figure who immersed himself deeply in the underground music scene in Romania during the vibrant 1990s. As one of the few DJs, producers, and promoters at the forefront of this movement, Marika left an indelible mark on the industry.

During that influential era, Marika co-founded the band Fire in Water alongside Cristian Paduraru. Their exceptional talent earned them two significant awards, one at the Assos New Talent Festival and another at the renowned Klub Bizzar show on Atomic TV.

Marika's passion for electronic music extended beyond his own artistic pursuits. He shared his carefully curated selections on various radio stations like Fun Radio, Activ FM, and Vibe FM. These shows were tailored to meet the listeners' preferences while showcasing the noteworthy contributors to the genre in Romania. Producers, promoters, and all those who revolved around the electronic music universe were invited to join Marika's broadcasts, providing a platform for live performances and electrifying mixes.

From 1998 to 2004, Marika took on the role of editor and producer for the popular show "Metropolis" on the first Romanian TV music channel, Atomic TV. His dedication to promoting music extended beyond the airwaves. Parallel to his work at Atomic TV, Marika became a resident DJ at The Web Club, where he organized groundbreaking underground electronic music parties with bands and DJs.

In 2005, Marika's talents earned him a place in the finals of the prestigious national DJ contest, Heineken. Following this accomplishment, he was frequently invited to perform at various Romanian clubs, leaving an unforgettable impression wherever he went. Furthermore, he laid the foundation and became a resident at Embryo Club.

It was also in 2005 that Marika embarked on a fruitful collaboration with Expirat Club and Other Side, where his Wednesday nights became synonymous with Selectro: DJ Marika & Guests. These nights brought together local and international DJs, producers, and captivating live performances, creating unforgettable experiences for all attendees.

With his brand, Selectro, Marika was invited to curate his own scene, featuring a blend of local talent and international guests, showcased on the illustrious platform of Sunwaves Music Festival - SW8/SW10, solidifying its reputation as a driving force in the electronic music scene. Recognition soon followed, as Selectro secured the coveted "Best Concept for a Series of Parties in Romania" award at the Nights.ro Awards in both 2010 and 2011. 

Selectro also became the name of Marika's radio show, airing every Wednesday and Thursday on Dance FM Romania.

2017 proved to be a defining year as Selectro officially launched as a record label, offering an eclectic selection of mesmerizing tech house releases that continue to captivate audiences worldwide.

Alongside Fire in Water and Hypersonic, Marika continues to contribute to the music industry, building upon his substantial involvement in the 1990s and early 2000s. He actively produces music in diverse projects and collaborates with Selectro label affiliates, including HDMX, Tripwerk, Al-Fernandez, and Lexx Groove. Currently, Marika is channeling his creative energy into a long-term project called Cutume.

Ryan’s own sound is groovy and energetic. His music has earned multiple impressive chart positions with all his new releases hitting new heights that have all reached Top10 Positions in the Minimal / Deep Tech & Tech house charts, holding their own amongst the industry’s biggest names. 

Ryan credits the scene in Ibiza as the launch pad for his House Music journey. Over multiple stints in Ibiza, Taft has gained the respect from friends and idols alike, bringing him gigs on and off the island alongside some of the top artists in the industry including the likes of wAFF, Bontan, Leftwing : Kodi & Ben Sterling to name a few.

With some huge new track’s forthcoming from both DESIGN_RECORDS, and Ryan himself, the future is certainly looking bright.

Developing from his previous alias Ben Walsh, BLAME BEN, is embarking on a new direction in the House and Electronica space. With releases already on the horizon, the remainder of 2024 is set to be an exciting start to the new journey with 2025 looking even bigger.

Hailing from Warrington, Blame Ben is a producer creating a range of exciting sounds from rave-inspired house to emotional melody-lead electronica. Expect various styles coming from his future productions.

Shaped by early raving experiences growing up in Manchester’s and Liverpool’s electronic underground scene, Ben seeks inspiration from the likes of Mall Grab, Dusky, DJ Seinfeld, Ross From Friends, Overmono and plenty more.

Filer is a new upcoming DJ and Producer from Liverpool, UK. Filer is inspired by acts such as SOSA, Latmun, Wheats and the growing tech house and minimal scene in the UK.   

Since Filer first started producing in 2020 he has crafted his own style with a tech house and minimal sound. Filer creates stripped-back and straight forward tech house made for the dance floor!   

Filer had his debut release 'Freak Machine' on Funk Spin's label You Funked Up in October 2021. Prior to this release Filer has released on Adam Cutting's label Cutting Shapes with his 2 track EP 'W Y H A' with a remix from Pedro Costa. Filer has more release and shows lined up for this year!
