From funky, soulful beats, to sexy late-night vocal grooves, Calgary based DJ, LaRiss, has been sharing her passion for music with the world since 2016. As a classically trained musician and dancer, music is a part of her soul and heritage. Armed with an extensive collection of vinyl and 45's, LaRiss began playing old school funk and nostalgic sets for small events in 2016. Inspired by the phenomenal talent of the local DJ's in the Calgary scene, she discovered her true joy and dove into the world of house music in 2019. Because of her passion for hunting down new tracks and her intuitive storytelling through music, LaRiss has a keen sense of how to keep the dancefloor moving and listeners engaged. With experience ranging from large scale festivals, like Burning Man to regional events and club nights, LaRiss has a discerning musical background that can adapt to any setting and is quickly becoming a recognizable face in the Calgary house club circuit.
