You See, too few tales from the Playboy Mansion make mention of the dimmer switches. When Dimitri played at the LA estate, he paid more attention to the wall fittings than he did to the girls.

“The whole décor, the furniture, the light switches” recalls the tasteful Parisian selector, “it was like going into a time capsule.” Dimitri’s visit to the mansion launched his seminal mix CD, ‘A Night At The Playboy Mansion (2000)’. Thought Playboy only expected to sell a dew copies, the initial mix became one of the best selling mix compilations ever and morphed into a series, the latest addition being the one you have now: Dimitri From Paris Return To The Playboy Mansion, a two-disc set which conures up that vintage jet-set lifestyle perfectly, from the ice-white smiles down to the monogrammed socks.

Disc one pairs break-in-case-of-emergency floor fillers like Jamiroquai ‘Cosmic Girl’ alongside obscure disci tunes like Musique’s ‘Love Message’ and recent jazz-pop oddities like Mario Biondi’s ‘This Is What You Are’.

Meanwhile, the second CD is for the lovers. “Many people came up to me after my sets and said that they made out to my CDs,” Dimitri explains, “I wanted to give them something to make more of that.”
