It makes us behave in ways we normally wouldn’t in order to impress the people we don’t care about. We seek attention, and instead of being ourselves we try to impersonate somebody we’re not.

We’re rejecting this reality with F4K3 to create a new one, for ourselves and for anybody who wants to follow us. Will you join our journey? Or will you get lost in cyberspace forever?

Much loved German house outfit Milk & Sugar is back with new track ‘Lift Your Hands Up’ featuring vocals Sudanese singer Ayak. Out March 17th. 

Milk & Sugar understand how to make party music and ‘Lift Your Hands Up’ is another fine example of why Milk & Sugar are still top of the game, over 20-years since their debut. Another big floor filler, ‘Lift Your Hands Up’ is pure euphoric house with an addictive soulful vocal courtesy of Ayak, the singer who first collaborated with M&S for their classic "Stay Around." When they performed together last summer at the World Club Dome Festival, they agreed a new song was well overdue so got to work on writing and recording ‘Lift Your Hands Up’. 

“It’s great getting back to business with Milk & Sugar on this new record’” says Ayak. “We’ve toured the world for years but this is our first record together post pandemic which we did remotely & I think it captures the joy of feeling free perfectly."

@axnermusic are Julia Axnér & Chris Davies (Disco Freaks / Acid Jazz Records) and our keen readers will have caught their excellent debut single Got The Look which we premiered last year with a rather splendid Al Kent remix. It was a seriously classy debut which garnered support from none other than Craig Charles and a multitude of DJ's across the globe.

They are now back with their Sophomore single and this time they have really upped the ante with Shout From The Rooftop. This one has been a real international affair. Having begun with sessions with the insanely talented Ralph Rolle, the drummer of Nile Rodgers & Chic, it was recorded in various studios around the globe including in Malmo, London and York with Rah Harrison, who even called in Beyoncé’s producer to add his magic touch to the mix. Also featuring multi-layered backing vocals courtesy of Audrey Martells (Chic/The Shapeshifters)Shout From The Rooftop is a delicious example of just how vivacious and infectious modern disco can be keeping faithful to the building blocks of the genre but with a golden 2023 production pizazz.

NYC's Underground System are back with a sparkling five track EP of originals and remixes on Razor-N-Tape fusing left field funk with Balearic ethos and a ton of non-stop energy.

Our premier from the EP is the lead track Looking in which has that essential NYC cool flowing through it's veins. Slick vocals sit atop some outrageously tight bass and drums with distorted guitar and brass licks aplenty adding to the forward motion.
