We've got a few more fantastic sets from Ghost Ship to share with you as each week brings us closer to Breakfast of Champions. For this week we're bringing back ShOOey with her main stage closing set (played in the guise of Pauly D).

About this set ShOOey sez:

Playing the closing set at Ghostship this year gave me an excuse to play a little bigger, harder and darker than my usual sound.  I had an absolute blast on stage dancing, jumping, and fist pumping my heart out.  Seeing all my friends in the first few rows of the dacefloor was a treat as always and love that people were in the for the long haul to see me play.  I hope you enjoy reliving a slice of the amazing party that Ghostship was!

ShOOey has been a staple in the San Francisco dance scene since 2003.  You can find her and her infectious energy at Space Cowboys events playing breaks and house.  She also dedicated her time DJ'ing in support for non-profit organizations like Beats for Boobs and La Casa de las Madres.  If you don't find her on the decks, you'll probably find her on a bicycle. :D

We've got another killer set from Ghost Ship 2013 for you, this time from Space Cowboy DJ Aaron Pope. Here's how Pope tells it: 

"This year's Ghost ship was nuts! It was great to see the party go off so massively in the new space, and I honestly have never seen a crazier, bigger crowd in front of the MOG. People were definitely up for all kinds of music, as long as it inspired them to dance, so it was hard to go wrong. I was feeling a little nostalgic, about all the amazing times I've had at this party over the years, so I mixed up my newer house and breaks with a lot of what I consider classics. Pretty funky, fun set on a huge sound system - Enjoy!"

About Aaron Pope:
“Dance music is all about drawing energy out of people in a positive way.” This is Aaron Pope’s belief, and that’s what most people remember about his DJ sets - his infectious energy. A longtime music fan and dance floor resident, Aaron brings this joy and love of music behind the decks with him, and at every gig he loves to dance and interact with the crowd. His sets encompass many styles, including house, breaks, electro; even funky mid-tempo if the occasion demands.

Aaron has been a professional DJ for 13 years. He has played at almost every venue in San Francisco, for a wide range of promoters and crews. He was the first resident DJ and music manager for the infamous Deep End at Burning Man. His gigs have taken him to New York, Miami and Chicago, Brazil, the Caribbean and Ibiza. As a member of the Space Cowboys, he can often be found playing at such parties as the Ghost Ship, SnowFest and the infamous Breakfast of Champions.

Aaron is a seasoned veteran of San Francisco nightlife and a respected member of the Burning Man community. Before he joined up with the Cowboys, Aaron was a resident DJ with the Burning Man crew formerly known as the Deep End. Aaron has been enjoying a long hiatus from DJing this summer, but took some time away from hiking, camping and backpacking to put together this funky breaks and house mix for us. Eclectic Greek electronic music label The Sound Of Everything is pleased to issue &ldquo;Candy Face,&rdquo; the third single from Monsieur Minimal&rsquo;s new album Minimal To Maximal. Monsieur Minimal has found much success in his native Greece with a sound defined mainly as indie pop but with a lot of electronic influences and elements, expressed through simple, beautiful melodies and sweet pop vocals. &ldquo;Candy Face&rdquo; demonstrates the darker, downtempo side of Monsieur Minimal, complete with dreamy vocals, melodic layers, and reverb boxes set at &lsquo;11&rsquo; combining to create an appealing &lsquo;shoegaze&rsquo; trip.
