Manchester-based imprint Libero Records is quickly becoming a staple in the diet of many underground tech-house appreciators. With a stripped-back approach and rhythmic grooves teeming throughout their already blossoming catalogue of releases, it’s easy to see why the label’s exposure is growing at an exponential rate.

Building around a focus on percussive, minimalist tech-house inspired by concepts like the infamous Music On and artists like Marco Carola, Joseph Capriati, Paco Osuna and many more; Libero’s ethos is centred around the rolling soul of underground dance music. Dennis Jernelius is best known for the groovy dance tunes he has bought to the Oslo club scene for over a decade. The Swedish born DJ/ Producer became influenced by electronic music after spending many nights at the now defunct, yet legendary Fugazi. 

With summer constantly on his mind, Dennis has an organic sound that smoothly transitions from laid back beach party to club, while packing plenty of rhythm to keep the dance floor humming. The sound he has today is the product of a long process of discovery that dates back to listening to his fathers bands as a youth. Now making his own music, Dennis loves the constant process of learning that ‘keeps his brain active’ as he explores the depths of funky organic electronic music.
