In the midst of the increasingly popular house music hurricane comes a fresh two track EP from one of the movement’s most promising talents, Richy Ahmed. Taking cues from hip-hop, techno, funk and disco, ‘The Drums’ EP arrives on the 2nd of December via Hot Creations.

Just stretching his limbs in terms of his discography, in less than two years the London-based producer has gathered some series attention. From 2011’s slinky, deep house mover 'Suck It' (Hot Creations) to his 80's chicago manipulation remix of Infinity Ink's 'Infinity', there’s always an enviable glisten about his work. His wizardry behind the decks lead to him being named resident DJ at DC10's Paradise this summer with the season coming to an end in late September.

'The Drums' got its maiden plays during Richy's Boiler Room Set and the takeovers of Paradise Ibiza. The EP steps out of the blocks with definite verve. Title track, 'The Drums', a hip-house barnstormer of a track it massages a buttery-smooth rolling bassline into a four-to-the-floor backdrop with contagious results. Legend, Kevin Knapp, jumps on vocal duty dropping in and out with praise to 'the drums'. On the flip side, '101 Jam' is a rolling analogue slice of deep house brilliance. Here, Richy pitches skittering hi-hats and hyperactive synth movements atop a robust bassline foundation. It proves homage to the brand of house celebrated right from the genre’s genesis.

Paseando Por Encants EP comes directly from the heart of the label, with two big remixes. 
First of all we have to say welcome to the amazing english musician: Eats Everything. 
First remix is done by him, and the second one comes out from the couple Elio Riso & D-Urss, already appeared in the label. 

Mar-T & Luca Donzelli, present this exclusive track, that they made together in Barcelona. In fact this song is talking about the famous flea market Encants, in Bcn. Latin vibes, real market voices recorded there and an analog touch with some hot synth basses are the main features of the original version! 8 minutes “walking in the streets of Encants” passing through 2 great breakdowns, with people screaming and drums that prepares the drop in the perfect way. 

Eats Everything lands on Wow! reinterpretating the latin vibes and spanish voices, in his unique style, giving the english imprint to the EP. 
Dan reworked the original track, inserting biting basses, and huge drops to make you jump with this sexy aggressive remix! Encant-ado!

Then there is the last remix, that is from Elio Riso & D-Urss. They have made a really cool tech tool, with classical tech-house add ons, that you will love for sure!

Sidney Charles & Santé have teamed up again to forge the 'Forever EP’ on Hot Creations with Russ Yallop on remix duty. Those that have witnessed their epic sets playing together will know the vibrant energy they create and this latest offering stands stead to them.

The title track ‘Forever’ uses dynamic claps, an indelible beat and a simple but effective vocal that ties all the elements together. With a playful production technique at its heart, this is a cut made for summertime. Things get a little darker with ‘Mogli’, morphing high-pitched, glitchy sounds alongside a hissing beat. On the flip side, Russ Yallop remixes ‘Forever’ to make the whole track bounce with a heavy and thick bassline.

Hamburg-born Sidney Charles has only been releasing music for four years but has already had a string of successes on labels such as 8bit, Moda Black, AVOTRE and VIVa. Berlin-based Santé is also involved with all areas of music as he DJ’s, produces, and is building on his own record label AVOTRE. Sidney Charles & Santé have previously released on Hot Creations with ‘All Night Long’ on the ‘Hot Summer Jams’ album.

Russ Yallop is a key member of the underground house scene and  is no stranger to Hot Creations; he has previously released ‘Traffic’ and ‘System Crank’ with them, whist also regularly DJing at their worldwide events. He is also an established member of the Crosstown Rebels family after first releasing with them in 2010.

The next release on Libero comes from label owners and frontmen Mike Morrisey and Luke Welsh. After a year jam-packed full of support from the biggest names in the scene, the pair brings their aptly titled ‘Libero Sound’ EP to the table with resolute confidence in it exhibiting exactly what it says on the tin. Between them, they’ve both championed number 1 spot releases on Beatport and have released on some of the most on-trend, underground minimal/deep tech labels around, and it’s clear to see why with this four-track offering that also includes a remix from the renowned Stefano Crabuzza.

Opening the release, the title track sets the pace with its rolling groove. Stripped back, terrace-style vibes from the offset with a heavy focus on the accentuated percussive elements. The flow is kept energetic by constant injections of offbeat movement and rhythm. Subtle vocal chops give it an element of catchiness and decorate what is a well-rounded vibe builder.

Next in line is ‘Belted Down’, another terrace-style deep tech treat with a punchier persona. It runs the line of a more tribal-influenced track with hints of nostalgic rave influence. Heavily set low-end frequencies rumble throughout, complimenting the big, atmospheric transitions and hard-hitting drops.

The penultimate track, ‘Deep Mate’ has a bumpier feel to it. Although it is slightly more energetically charged, there is still a major emphasis on the groove and in particular the percussion. A track with a bit of a wider swing, containing some acid-infused low-bit sampling and another staunch bass factor. Definitely a strong choice for the peak hours of the party!

Closing out the release is Stefano Crabuzza’s remix of ‘Deep Mate’. Keeping much of the original fire burning but taking down the pace and stripping it back to meet the flavour of the two opening tracks. Sill carrying a bit of bump, but focusing more on the roll and offbeat flare.
