Through old, partly ancient instruments, I want to kindle the spirit of our ancestors. What does viking music mean to me? Old, gnarly and rough instruments, aged by the salt of the seas. Whereas medieval tracks resonate with the zeitgeist of the according lifestyle back then. I want you to feel the incredible, overwhelming raw power of music, composed, produced and lived by my heart.

For Ravin, life is music. His worldwide search, to seek out melodies, unknown sensations and ignored talents are part of his everyday life. This musical quest is, above all, full of curiosity and passion.

Whole worlds in a handful of beats. Sounds touching on spirituality. Rhythms transcending cultures. Harmonies of the East melting into western breezes. Tracks telling their private story.

Ravin delays the passing day. Slows down the earth’s rotation. He quietly asks you to accompany him on his lifelong musical journey. Crossing boundaries and instilling tranquility and private calm.

Indelibly connected to today’s electric union of
global trends and world music, Ravin has created a luscious cocktail,. a spiritual union, infused with his extraordinary knowledge and deep love of the globe’s traditional sounds.

Ravin grew up in Mauritius and was raised according to the traditional Hindu teachings. He later moved to France as a teenager and rapidly focused on his longtime passion - music, mixing, playing, producing thus
creating his own imprint.

DJ Ravin’s fame rapidly grew through Paris nightlife and he began to play in famous celebrity haunts such as the Rex or Les Bains Douches. 

In 1997, he played his first sets at Buddha-Bar Paris and greatly contributed to the concept’s unique musical signature, constantly expanding his horizons,
before imprinting his unique fusion style on several compilations released by George V Records.

Ravin is one of those artists in perpetual search. In search of perfection, wisdom and passion. Since the creation of the buddha-bar, Ravin felt right at home, and ready to touch his eternal goal. After a few years of work, he released the buddha-bar III,
one of the most successful compilations of George V Records.

«True Electric» returning to our roots within electronic music

Danheim is a Nordic folk/Viking inspired project from the Copenhagen-based Danish producer Reidar Schæfer Olsen, a man with 8 years of experience in electronic and ambient music - focusing on Nordic Folk, Viking age inspired music and atmosphere with a certain nordic authenticity. The release of his first debut album titled, “Munarvagr” have gathered around 5 million streams in one year. The second album "Mannavegr" was released November 1, 2017.

Danheim's music is dark yet melodic, intense yet authentic. While drawing strongly from nordic pagan culture and his Danish heritage, Danheim's sound is ultimately deeply rooted in ancient Scandinavian folklore and Viking inspired lore and stories.
Danheim is currently producing music for Short films, Computer Games, and his self-produced upcoming two albums.

Wardruna is a Norwegian music group founded by Kvitrafn in 2003. Their debut album ‘Runaljod – gap var Ginnunga' was released in 2009 and is the first part of a planned trilogy which will musically interpret the runes of the elder futhark.

Eric Mouquet is also founder of Deep Forest, the pioneering ethno-ambient electronica band. He is on the cusp of a musical renaissance that promises to explore new directions, combinations and influences in ambient world music.

Description :
Heathen Neo-Folk played on acoustic instruments including; violin, balalaika, glass flute, tin whistle, mouth harp, drums, bells and many more improvised, homemade 'instruments’ and subtle use of midi, accompanied by male and female vocals.

Concept :
To meditate on the Runes allowing them to bind themselves into songs and tell their own stories, whilst combining the outdoor feel of a live Blot Rite throughout, bringing the outside in and the inside out blending ‘Galdr and Skald magic’ with ‘Folk Music’ to re-kindle the fires of an ancient shared genetic memory of the Anglo Saxon that lives on in our spirit still.

Biography :
RunaFolk is a (non-gigging) Wodenist/Odinist self recorded solo project started in 2009 whilst recording balalaika at 4.00am in the morning with earphones on.
I became aware of the enormous thunder storm that had erupted over my house, so I stuck the SM57 mic out of the window I was already using and used spare tracks to record the storm in the same file….And so RunaFolk was born.
I have wanted to do a solo album like this for a while, based on the Futhark and a mix of Wodenism/ Odinism/ Heathenism, but as I play in other gigging bands, finding the time was always hard. Finally, inspired mainly by ‘The Winds that Sang of Midgard’s Fate’ by Hagalaz Runedance and the new Wardruna debut album (along with too many other influences to list here), Wyrd willed that it was time for RunaFolk to begin, signaled by the sound of Thunor’s/ Thor’s approval and Woden/Odin, God of Storms!
It soon became obvious that this solo project would benefit from adding female vocals but I specifically wanted my guest female vocalist to be interested in Wodenism/ Odinism. Having tried to recruit several female singers without much success I had become resigned to the fact that it may not be a realistic possibility….But the Gods and Wyrd were again kind to RunaFolk, as I had no idea that a female friend who was living right below me in the same place at that time, was interested in the same subject and had her own solo music project. After listening to a demo of one of her songs, where she played electric guitar, keyboards, violin and did all of her own vocals, recording and mastering, I demanded to hear more….And from that moment Sorgbyrden ‘the song bird’ joined RunaFolk on guest female vocals.
